PROFESSIONAL PURSUIT AND EXPERIENCE

I am pursuing a senior electrical or systems engineering position
with opportunities to grow into a technical management or leadership
position. I am seeking a fast paced environment that encourages a
collaborative, team focused and results driven work culture.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II BAE Systems Inc. Wayne, NJ August 2005 a"

_PROJECTS:_
Projects involve design, development, integration and test of
digital communications electronics and require collaboration with
engineers of different disciplines (Mechanical, Software, Operations,
Test Equipment and QA) on a daily basis. Products range from software
configurable and networking capable communications technologies to
hardware and software for test suites. Assignments required
delegation of tasks and training of technicians and junior engineers.

_RESPONSIBILITIES:_
Digital hardware design
*
Performed schematics capture and board layout using CAD tools from
Cadence and Mentor Graphics.
*
Simulated board designs to evaluate for signal integrity and
cross-talk characteristics.
*
Analyzed designs for power and timing performance.
*
Evaluated and selected components per de-rating criteria.
Firmware/software development
*
Developed firmware for FPGAs and CPLDs in VHDL using off-the-shelf
tools such as Quartus and Modelsim.
*
Developed test and low level code in Visual Basic, C and assembly.
*
Developed microcontroller code in Assembly.
Systems integration and test
*
Performed integration and troubleshooting of circuit boards
containing analog, digital and power circuitry.
*
Integrated and tested firmware contained in FPGAs and CPLDS.
*
Performed system integration of Green Hills Integrity OS, drivers
and applications with processors.
*
Tested and demonstrated products to verify compliance with
customers' requirements.
*
Performed testing and troubleshooting of end units in environmental
chambers to ensure that the products would operate over industrial
temperature conditions.
*
Identified design defects during integration and test.
*
Proposed design enhancements and released revised design for
manufacture.
Product Development
*
Reviewed functional requirements and performance parameters of each
product as defined by customer. Flowed down and defined functional
specifications from system level down to unit level.
*
Performed trade studies and presented design approaches and detailed
designs to peers and customer for review at each step of design
process.
*
Collaborated with engineers form other disciplines to ensure that
each design solution is robust and meets form, fit and function of
the full system.
*
Produced documentation such as product development plans, test plans
and source control documentation.
*
Performed design verification to validate conformance of design to
customer generated requirements.
*
Prototyped and evaluated designs for cost reduction, performance
improvement opportunities.
Operations and Support
*
Assisted customer in deploying and integrating product into their
system.
*
Produced technical documentation for internal and external use.
*
Performed various quality control responsibilities throughout
design, development and integration process.
*
Assisted production in evaluating defects and suggested ways of
improving manufacturing processes.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERN. Woodward-McCoach Inc. West Chester,
PA. Sep. 2003 a" Jul. 2004
_PROJECTS__:_
Hardware design and test of embedded processing board for telecom
applications.
_RESPONSIBILITIES:_
Design tasks include, schematics capture and PCB layout. Other
design tasks consist of researching components by referencing
datasheets, application notes, white papers and utilized reference
designs from vendors to insure that electrical, functional and
mechanical specifications were met.

EDUCATION
Masters in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of
Technology in Hoboken, NJ on December 2007 with a 3.9 GPA.

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and Minor in Business

Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA on June
2005
*
Participated in three cooperative education work assignments
totaling 18 months of hands on engineering experience.
