II

Правила интонирования

Повествовательные, восклицательные и п обудительные предложения --- нисходящая


интонация.

Се рии однородных членов — в осходящая интонация на всех элементах, кроме последнего.

I’m going to buy chocolate, meat, and eggs.

Описание задания 2

Задача:

Принять участие в телефонном опросе по определенной теме и полно

ответить на 6 заданных вопросов.

В ходе выполнения этого задания показать умения:

сообщать запрашиваемую информацию, отвечая на вопросы разных видов;

выражать свое мнение / отношение к теме обсуждения;

точно и правильно употреблять языковые средства оформления высказывания.

Важно

Нельзя отвечать односложно и начинать предложение со слова because.

Если в одном вопросе содержатся два вопросительных слова, отвечать в этом


случае нужно на оба вопроса.
При ответе внимательно слушать вопрос и повторять слова и структуру, чтобы не
запутаться в грамматике.

Electronic assistant: What is your hobby and why are you interested in it?

Student: My hobby is swimming and I’m interested in it because I like water and
can’t imagine my life without swimming.

Использовать вводные слова и речевые клише.

Типы вопросов

Задание на тему «Досуг и увлечения»

Electronic assistant: How old are you?

Student: I’m 16 years old now.

Electronic assistant: Do you have much free time during the day?

Student: Unfortunately, I’m very busy during the day because I have 6 lessons every day and,
also, I attend Math and English extra-classes, so I have only about two hours of free time
during the day.

Electronic assistant: What do you do in your free time?

Student: When I have some free time I usually do nothing because I need a break from my
constant studying process. Sometimes I can surf the Net or chat with my friends.

Electronic assistant: If you had more free time, what would you do with it?

Student: I’ve wanted to make pies or cupcakes for a long time. I think baking is a really
interesting process but it requires a lot of time.

Electronic assistant: What do you really hate having to do in your free time?

Student: I hate cleaning but I know that it is my household chores to wash the dishes, vacuum
or dust.

Electronic assistant: Where do young people usually spend their free time?

Student: I guess that nowadays more youngsters prefer staycation. I mean they are more
likely to spend their free time at home reading a book or watching Netflix.

Electronic assistant: Do people's leisure time activities change as they get older? How?

Student: Everything is changing and people’s preferences are not an exception. I guess that
young people are more likely to spend their free time actively. And while getting older they
change their focus to something monotonous that requires not much energy.

Electronic assistant: What profession are you interested in? Why?

Student: I’m really into journalism because I like writing articles or different stories.

Electronic assistant: What should young people pay attention to while choosing a job?

Student: Every young person has to be aware of not only the pros of some professions but also
about their negative sides, so I think that youngsters have to pay attention to other people's
experiences while choosing their future career.

Electronic assistant: What professions are popular among young people nowadays?

Student: Young people are really into creative professions and jobs connected with IT
nowadays. Also, working from home is getting popular.

Electronic assistant: What professions require the knowledge of English?

Student: A lot of professions require the knowledge of English nowadays because it’s a very
popular language and a lot of people speak it. So, English is needed for managers in
international companies, interpreters and translators, teachers, guides and so on.

Electronic assistant: How can English be used in your future professional career?

Student: I want to be an international journalist. I will have to meet and work with a lot of
people who speak this language, so English is a must for my future career.

Electronic assistant: What do you do to improve your English?

Student: Except for my English lessons at school I attend extra-classes in English. Also, I watch
different videos, films and series, listen to podcasts in English.

Electronic assistant: Are you an only child or do you have siblings?

Student: I’m an only child in my family, so I don’t have sisters or brothers.

Electronic assistant: Do you always understand your parents? Do they understand you?

Student: There is mutual understanding in my family. I have a really close connection with my
parents, so we always understand and support each other.

Electronic assistant: How often do you quarrel with your parents? Why?

Student: I quarrel with my parents very rarely because we try to discuss our problems to fix
everything from the very beginning.

Electronic assistant: Can you say that your parents are your friends? Why? Or why not?

Student: Undoubtedly, my parents are my friends and I am really glad that I can trust them with
everything.

Electronic assistant: What do you think the main role of the family is?

Student: For me family means support. Anywhere and anytime you feel confident because of
your parents' faith in you and your strength. Also, they help you not to feel aloof or alone.

Electronic assistant: Would you like to have a big family or a small one in the future? Why?

Student: My family is really small, so I’d like to have an extended family in the future. I dream of
a house full of children, laughter and love.
