City Edition)
We are changing - fast. Our dynamos are the young people in our school system, in
our training centers, in our entrepreneurial start-ups. Quezon City has the largest
school-age population in the Philippines. Many have called our City the education
center because we have the most number of training centers and tertiary educational
institutions in the country.
Our City landscape will be dotted with more and more ICT companies, as they view
us as a cost-effective business location. Thus, our City government will work harder
to bridge the knowledge and skills gap in information technology, especially among
our poor children -- through increased ratios of students to computers, more e-
libraries and Internet laboratories, full operationalization of the IT-Centrex building,
and expanded training programs for City school graduates to meet the requirements
of business process outsourcing companies.
VISION Statement
Through education, Quezon City will be transformed into metropolis where the
people are peaceful, progressive, globally competitive, responsive to the demands of
the technologically advancing society and united in their common aspiration of
achieving richer and fuller lives in the service of God and country.
