Senior Technical Writer.
* Design, development, and maintenance of all internal system documentation. Th
is includes several systems which push and pull data from the primary accounting
/ inventory system. Delivery methods include PDF and HTML based online help.
* Using Microsoft Word, created multiple templates and script files to open Word
from a DOS based application, execute a macro, save the file, print the file, a
nd close Word. This enables the saving of reports that cannot be reprinted.
* Created a large HTML Help based system containing every parts diagram, assembl
y instructions, and product information sheets for all current and past products
. This system is used internally and is available on the web site(s) for custom
ers to use.
* Creation and modification of management, operations, and informational type re
ports for new ERP system using Crystal Reports with a Microsoft SQL data backend

* Development and maintenance of all the corporate web sites. The corporate sit
es include a web site written in PHP, another site for the sales representatives

irm. With the use of cascading style sheets, the design was easy to roll out to
the secondary sites with minimal programming needed and no assistance from the o
utside firm.

pecials flyers, product information sheets, trade show invitations, general comp
any pieces. Also retouched photographs of furniture including changing wall col
or and adding artwork to the walls.
* Also manage all the data for the marketing department. Pull all the data for
mass mailings using SQL to ensure the correct customer is sent the correct marke

t-of-sale, and job costing applications.
From 1990 to 1992, as a Technical Support Advisor. Primary responsibilities were
resolving customer's questions and problems over the telephone.
From 1992 to 1993, as the Educational Development Manager. Responsible for the d
evelopment and delivery of training, for a modular accounting program, to value
added resellers. This included the development of a computer based training syst
em and development of leader led curriculum.
Beginning in 1993 to 1996, as a Corporate Trainer. Responsibilities included the
development and delivery of training primarily for the Technical Support Depart
ment but also deliver training to other departments. This included creating and
updating the curriculum, development of on-line internal help files for the tech
nicians, design of new training curriculum, and determining the need for follow
up training.
In addition to developing and delivering training, I developed technical help fi
les. The material was written and converted into Windows based help files using
RoboHelp and Help Breeze. The technicians used these on-line technical help file
s, in addition to their training guides, to assist them when helping customers.
