ampus.
* Reporting directly to the Director of Operations have direct responsibility of
all incoming materials and outgoing products with an average annual value $300
million supervising a staff of 25 employees.
* Successfully negotiated a 40% reduction in shipping costs by the establishment
or good business relationships to gain concessions. Annual savings equal approx
imately $12 million per year.
* Implemented scanning system for all incoming and outgoing materials lowering d
irect labor costs by 35%. The technology saved additional hours by eliminating a
ll keystroke errors with the previous system.
* Developed all packaging configurations for product shipment.
* Responsible for procurement activities for all shipping and packaging material
s. Negotiated major quantity discounts with vendors of up to 50%. Average value
of these materials is approximately $4 million per month.

timely coordination with shippers for product departure to docks. Notify sales a
nd shippers of any schedule slippages and rearrange shipping date to avoid late
penalties. Depending on the size of shipment this could be anywhere from $100 to
$500K.

ter in the company.

square foot facility.
* Responsible for purchasing of medications and veterinary supplies. Initiated a
pproximately 300 purchase orders per month with annual purchases of around $2 mi
llion. Gained significant discounts by large quantity orders or multiple orders
from a single vendor.
* Due to attention to detail, and product knowledge gained a high degree of cred
ibility with customers causing them to bypass the customer service department.
* Regularly filed reports and stood audits with the state health department and
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Successfully passed all inspections with
no citations or compliance issues.
* Responsible for constant monitoring of climate controlled areas. The warehouse
 was connected to an alarm system and a 24/7 paging system for rapid and immedia
te response.
* Utilized the J.D. Edwards computerized inventory control module to monitor inv
entory, forecast purchases, examine demand trends and help maintain lowest possi
ble inventory to still meet customer demands.
* Utilized year round cycle counting methods to monitor inventory. Method provid
ed a more accurate idea of stock on hand and eliminated annual inventory reducin
g labor costs.
