I was part of a team that provided Managed IT for The Woodlands Development Comp
any and its hospitality properties. My knowledge of hospitality related standar
d operating procedures combined with an in depth knowlege of computer operations
allowed for me to effeciently intigrate unique or signature programs or process
es to maintain integrity with all hospitality related systems. Understanding th
e operations and the system capabilities from beginning to end afforded several
new standards of operations with step by step functional and financial accountab
ility.

Lead programming, installation and training for Micros 8700 Hospitality System.
I also supported older versions of the Micros Hospitality products.

As the Systems Analyst I was in charge of all the Resort/Conference Center Prope
rty Management and the Country Club systems providing operational and system int
egration for efficient and accountable work flow. Other responsibilities includ
e Managing Night Audit Staff, Upgrading IT infrastructure, and along with ROI an
d RFP challenges several systems were upgraded or replaced.

Radisson Hotels Plymouth , MN
Manager of Information Systems
My tenure with Radisson of 10 years included many positions starting out at the
Night Audit level at the 573 room Radisson Hotel and Convention Center in Bloomi
ngton Minnesota onto the Radisson Corporate office and back into the field fulfi
lling responsibilities from Sales and Payroll support, Manager of Information Sy
stems, New Property installs such as the Radisson at Austin Center. Other exten
ded Radisson sites include the Radisson Plaza 7 in Mpls, MN, Radisson at Manhat
tan Beach, CA. and The Radisson Inn Maingate in Florida where maximizing Revenue
s while reducing payroll expenses was done with day to day analysis of room rese
rvations to maximize the room rate and increase the minimum length of stay.

The hospitality industry has afforded me the opportunity to travel to key travel
and leisure destinations in the US while providing good basic daily operational
reporting. Being on the cutting edge of desktop technology which started with
the IBM PC XT and the beginning of spreadsheets and databases allowed me to use
my creativity coupled with detailed insight of hospitality operations to create
business relevant reporting for day to day analysis. Some of these old fashione
d strategic reporting capabiliies have been lost in the complexity of the Micros
oft world. So what am I saying? Stay on top of technology but stick to the bas
ics of day to day operations and analysis.
