* Worked on getting the Windows OS Multipath if optimal or degraded for updating
to the latest in SAN fabric, which in turn would let us upgrade the SAN to
IBM XiV system.This included using command's for EMC/Powerpath, IBM SDDDSM, and
Hbanyware.

* Remediation for server's which either had the wrong software. The IBM SAN/Lon'
s would have needed SDDDSM software which if not installed, create a Req
uest for change, get the necessary approvals for the installation of the softwar
e and also the date and time. After completion of the installation, veri
fy the Windows OS multipath is Optimal. And the same for the Power path Softwa
re.
* Using VERITAS Volume Manager (VEA), create disk groups, add luns to Windows cl
uster servers.
* Worked on SAN migration from DS8300 to XIV. Vmware 3.5 administration of windo

* Administered Windows 2003 Server's, installed patches, and updated Firmware an
d device drivers on Blade Center Management Modules and Servers.Worked with SAN
(Storage Area Network) team to have the Server/Server's assigned/remove/share re
quired Storage Space, by getting the required WWPN from either the Blade Center
console and or from the SDDSM command prompt on the server.
* Repair/replace HBAS,Network Cards on remote servers. On the reboot of the serv
er verify the hardware/software replaced/repaired are working normally. In cas
e of Clustered Server/servers, making sure the Active node in question is set to
failover to the Passive node (Swap the Active Node with the Passive), t
hen make the necessary update. Verify the changes are acceptable in terms of fun
ctionality and also have the Customer verify the same. All the work was done usi
ng the approved Change Control / Ticketing process following the SLA's and prove
n methods.

50 template configuration for switches which were then deployed in Pathmark s
