* Developed, published, facilitated and converted the Benefits training course t
o an online training course for State of Delaware Human Resources professionals.
The benefits course is a pre-requisite for the State's Human Resources Certifi
cate program.
* Served as liaison with delaware schools, agencies and other participating grou
ps eligible to participate in the State's Group Health Insurance Program which e
nabled them to offer healthcare benefits to their state employee/retiree populat
ion.
* Spearheaded the implementation of the Statewide Supplemental Benefits Program
that consisted of 5 benefit plans; Vision Insurance, Group Legal Insurance, Auto
/Home Insurance, Pet Care Insurance and Long-Term Care Insurance. Managed the d
ay to day administration of the program; policies and procedures, communications
, handled employee/retiree inquiries and managed the electronic interface report
ing process.
Initiated the transition of converting the hard copy enrollment vision plan repo
rts to an online reporting process so benefit representatives can have access to
current enrollment data for their specific department. There are approximately
93 state agencies that utilize the online process.
* Organized and conducted (6) Statewide Benefits Health Fairs held each year at
various offsite locations during the state's annual benefits open enrollment for
active state employees/retirees.
* Served as the project lead for the annual Statewide Benefits Open Enrollment.
Engaged ideas statewide to promote internal communications that resulted in the
creation of the secure benefit representative website.
* Developed the monthly benefits newsletter for statewide distribution via email
and placement on various state websites.
