OBJECTIVE
Obtain an intelligence analyst position which will allow me
to build on my more than six years of analytical experience
in identifying and dismantling insurgency networks in combat
operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
EXPERIENCE
Sergeant, US Army, Lead Battalion Targeting Analyst
Oct. 2008 - Jan. 2010
Bayji, Iraq and Schofield Barracks, HI
- Managed daily all-source intelligence collection and
analysis for an 800 soldier Light Infantry Battalion in a
4,400 square kilometer region of Iraq with an estimated
population of 600,000. Assessed enemy courses of action and
situation templates which contributed to the planning and
execution of combat operations.
- Led intelligence support to high value individuals and/or
locations in targeting operations. Supervised approximately
29 personnel, providing extensive intelligence analysis and
support. Supervised and developed fused in-depth all-source
targeting intelligence packages, identifying organizational
critical vulnerabilities, capabilities, collection
shortfalls and/or gaps as well as strategies to mitigate
shortfalls.
- Coordinated multinational intelligence meetings with
Iraqi Army, Police, and local Government officials by
providing releasable intelligence products, as well as
partnering with US Special Operations Forces that resulted
in a 20% decrease in attacks over a year-long period.
- Created and maintained five internal intelligence
databases (HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT, and IMINT-based) which
archived over 10,000 reports on more than 1,000 insurgents,
locations, and supporters. Managed the quality control of
these databases by implementing standard operating
procedures in data entry and maintenance. Results
streamlined the targeting process of enemy personalities and
were integrated into our unit tactics, techniques, and
procedures (TTPs).
Sergeant, US Army, Battalion Targeting Analyst
Aug. 2006 - Oct. 2008
Hawijah, Iraq and Schofield Barracks, HI
- Led a 10-person intelligence team responsible for the
capture of more than 50 known insurgents and the dismantling
of both a sophisticated Jaysh al Islam and Al Qaeda in Iraq
cell by concentrating the targeting process on low to
mid-level personalities, thus toppling the cell hierarchy
and exposing high-value individuals towards capture.
- Developed and managed an intelligence, surveillance, and
reconnaissance plan based on in-depth pattern analysis
studies which resulted in a 90% discovery rate of improvised
explosive devices (IEDs) by identifying the enemy's TTPs
which contributed to unit counter TTPs.
- Directed combat surveillance operations for covert
collection on a Jaysh al Islam insurgent leader without
detection or loss of equipment.
- Developed and executed a training plan to teach tactical
intelligence ground reporting to twenty infantry soldiers.
Training was resourceful in answering collection
requirements, debriefing of combat operations, and an
ability to identify needs and priorities which shaped future
allocation of assets and resources.
Specialist, US Army, Intelligence Analyst
Jan. 2004 - Aug. 2006
Orgun, Afghanistan and Schofield Barracks, HI
- Mastered numerous intelligence-based programs and
databases, including M3, Pathfinder, Analyst Notebook,
FalconView, and ArcGIS.
- Designed and maintained link analysis diagrams of Taliban
and Al Qaeda cells operating in Southeastern Afghanistan for
combined targeting with US Special Operation Forces and US
national level intelligence agencies based on collaborative
HUMINT reporting.
- Generated executive-level briefings to more than 30
members of the battalion leadership, including the battalion
commander, battalion staff, and company leadership.
