Introduction

I am a natural intuitive and clairvoyant, a registered hypnotherapist and a specialist

in past life regression therapy. Although I have strong beliefs in the existence of the

human spirit I remain firmly grounded and retain my realistic and common sense

approach to life. I have a long background in business and am a very practical and

logical person. So why do I want to pass on the benefit of my experience of working

with Chakras – something that to many people seems rather strange and outside

their experience?

Working with energy is something I have been familiar with for many years, and I

have realized that there is not enough awareness of our own power for healing all

areas of our lives. Your physical, mental, emotional and relationship areas are all

affected by the balance, or lack of it, in your Chakras. They are an important tool to

access energy and stimulate both personal self-development and healing. In these

pages I want to introduce you to how understanding and using the Chakras can help

you to live a better life. Whether you want to improve your relationships, find love

and fulfilment, improve your life balance, maximise your health, or are simply curious

about this ancient energy system, then you will find here a powerful tool to help you

do that.

Chakra is the Sanskrit word for wheel, and we are going to use that wheel to help

you move forward with ease on your journey through life. There are seven main

Chakras that are used universally and I will share with you their history, what they

do, and how in a very practical way they can help you. Whether you are looking to

solve a specific problem, or just increase your own knowledge and self-awareness, I

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
know you will find answers here – perhaps even to questions that you have not yet

thought to ask.

In these pages I will share what I have experienced and learnt, tell you what has

worked for me in my own life, and for my clients, and I hope you find it as

enlightening and useful for you as it has been for me. Using the Chakras has helped

me see the world much more compassionately and opened so many doorways,

helping me to become the conscious creator of my own world rather than the

unconscious state of manifesting that we more normally experience. And that is my

ultimate wish for you too, to live consciously and with purpose so you are in charge

of your life. Believe me it is truly within your grasp and entirely possible for you to

achieve; just suspend any long held judgments that you might have and be open to

the possibilities!

Let’s begin your journey – Davina

Chapter 1 The history of Chakras and their relevance today

As I mentioned in the introduction, energy management and Chakras are seen often

as something mysterious and ‘foreign’ to us, but they are simply a system of

identifying the energy sources within us. By recognising, and being able to use this

energy field, healers have been able to help people find balance for their optimal

physical, emotional and spiritual health. I want to help you to use those same energy

sources to bring balance and harmony into your own life.

Chakras are not some ‘new age’ fad, but have been talked, used, and written about

for thousands of years across many cultures, with most of our knowledge of them

coming from India and the Chakras connection with both meditation and yoga.

Ancient Ayurvedic, Tibetan, Chinese and Japanese texts all make reference to the

vortices of energy they observed or felt within the human body and that could be

tapped into for purposes of strengthening and healing. References as far back as

3000BC have been found describing the use and impact of the Chakra’s and their

effect on the human energy field where it was noticed that whenever two or more

energies naturally meet, they tend to swirl round and round, forming a vortex or

spinning circle. You can easily see this effect for yourself in water, or in the sky when

huge cloud systems collide and can create cyclones or tornadoes.

Understanding Your Aura

Chakras are about energy and it’s free flow, or blockage, in your body. They are not

physical, you cannot grab hold of them, and in order to understand them fully, you

first need to understand their role in your own energy management and their

relationship to the Aura or energy field that surrounds each living thing. Chakras

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
provide the ‘gateway’, or connection point, where we receive, assimilate, and

express our life force energy. In order for you to see how that works, I would like first

to explain to you how the Aura, that field of energy that surrounds every living thing is

connected to the Chakras and to do that, you need to know what an Aura is.

I remember from childhood science lessons, being told that everything was made up

of millions of tiny atoms and molecules, all moving, vibrating, even seemingly solid

objects. It seems such an impossible concept to believe in, yet it is a proven fact.

The same goes for the human body, we know what we see is only the very tip of the

iceberg, we may see the veins and know they carry blood and we have some idea of

the millions of tiny, tiny blood cells within, that flow of blood pulsing through our body.

But there is so much more that we don’t see. The very movement of the blood is a

pulsing action, a wave. That movement we are aware of and can accept that it has

momentum, or energy. This energy cannot be destroyed, it simply transfers, the

vibrations flow on.

All that energy and vibration does not stop as it reaches the skin of your body, but it

reaches past that into the air around us, even though we cannot see it. It is

instinctive in us to use our own energy to help another, for instance when a child is

hurt a mother naturally ‘rubs it better’ and is passing energy from herself to her child.

We can all do this, the passing on of our heat – or energy – to any other life form.

Some people are said to have ‘green fingers’, but what they are really doing is

passing on their own life force energy into their plants by contact and by talking or

communicating with them.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
It is this energy around the body that we give the term Aura and some people feel it,

others see it as colours, and there are now machines that can see and measure it.

How far your Aura extends from your body is individual and varied, but I believe that

generally the energy extends out at least a meter all the way around us and that it

changes from moment to moment as we have the ability to draw in that energy or

expand it out. Everything has its unique frequency it resonates at, not just each and

every individual, every animal, every tree, every necklace, table or chair but also

every illness, and each thought. They all have their own special frequency they

vibrate at. Just as in our body, where all parts of us are connected, we are also

inextricably linked to the energy of every living thing around us – whether we can see

and feel it or not.

We can all improve our ability to pick up on these vibrations, becoming more aware

and appreciative of the world around us, the skill is in the interpretation of the

information we tune in to. We certainly all have the capability to sense such things, it

is part of our basic instinctual nature, but naturally our individual ability depends on

how much we use that sense or work with it. We may walk perfectly well but without

defined regular practice we will not become great tennis players, dancers or athletes!

Your Aura is fed by the energy centres of the body, and so in times of fear or a need

for protection we instinctively draw our Aura in, when we are feeling exuberant or

outwardly loving we project it out. When we feel ill we may draw it in even further,

sometimes these changes are perceptible to all of us and many times they are not.

So if your Aura is expanding and contracting, depending on your physical, emotional

and mental/spiritual state, just what exactly is driving it? This is where the Chakras

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
come in.

What are the Chakras?

The expansion and contraction of the Aura is regulated by the Chakras. They are the

‘energy centre’ that drives this, and it is how they are connected and interact that

defines our state of health and wellbeing. Ideally, the channels between each of the

seven Chakras is open and clear so that energy flows easily between them and

when any of them is blocked then our energy becomes stagnant and we may

experience states of dis-ease and emotional challenge. The Chakras govern our

decisions and responses, even if we are not aware of them, because each is an

aspect of our consciousness.

The lower chakras (base, sacral and solar plexus) correspond to our physical body

and the upper chakras (throat, brow, and crown) relate to communication, vision and

foresight, our intuition, and the connection with our soul and our spirituality. The

‘bridge’ between the physical Chakras and the spiritual Chakras is the Heart Chakra.

Another way of saying it is that the Chakras below the waist are related to our

instinctive or animal nature and the higher ones to our mental and spiritual being. In

an ideal state our instincts are in harmony with our thoughts and feelings, but

generally this is not always the case and this is where knowledge of the Chakras can

really help bring out healing and self knowledge.

Although I said the Chakras themselves are not physical, they do impact your body

which is made up of different systems such as the skeletal system, the muscular

system and the circulatory system, each one vital and playing its own role to

maintain equilibrium within the body. An imbalance in any one of them is sure to

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
have an effect on another, because everything is linked and interconnected.

The Chakras affect the body through two specific physical routes; your nervous

system and the endocrine system. There are seven main Chakras, and they each

correspond to a different endocrine gland and with a unique group of nerves. You

can see therefore, that every one of the seven Chakras relates to specific areas of

the body and their function, depending on what endocrine gland is affected.

However, their effect is not limited to the physical body, but also to specific areas of

your consciousness. This is not always easy for us to understand, but if you think of

when you are stressed then that might help. Stressful situations put our body on

alert and send adrenaline flooding to our limbs to activate our ‘fight or flight’

response. This is physical, but anyone who has experienced stress knows that its

effects extend beyond the body, so that our emotional and mental state is also

affected. We cannot see or touch those states, but we know they exist, and the

same is true for the Chakras.

How the Chakras Operate

I said that Chakra means wheel, and if you see each one as being in motion,

spinning freely and not static or two-dimensional, then that may give you a better

sense of them. They are often described as being like a vortex, a spiraling swirling

energy, and in practice they act more like funnels than wheels, forever sucking in

and releasing out energy through the body. This energy goes right through us, front,

back and all around because it is not something separate, it is a part of us.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
This illustration shows where the Chakras are located in the body, and I will be

explaining each of them to you in more detail in the following chapters.

compensate. Perhaps surprisingly it is

also not good for your Chakras to be

operating over what is the optimum for

you as that makes you just as

unbalanced.

The ideal state is where the Chakras are

balanced as this leads us into a place of

being healthier in mind, body and spirit.

The knowledge of how to use Chakras to restore, or maintain, that ideal state has

been available for thousands of years though not widely known in the West. Today,

we are under enormous pressures from our environment, a society in change and

economic challenges. Any of these factors can cause us to become unbalanced,

and by harnessing the knowledge of how to keep your own energy field clear and

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
flowing you will be able to face those challenges much more easily.

Ancient wisdom can provide us with a very effective solution to today’s modern

problems and that is what I wish to share with you in the next chapters as we look at

how the individual Chakras operate, and how to correct any imbalances.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Chapter 2 - An overview of the seven Chakras and how they are connected

Although we can study each Chakra individually, they form part of a whole system of

energy. They are placed in the body almost in a straight line that runs from the base

of the spine up to the top of the head. Each of the main Chakra points connect to

what is popularly termed a subtle body. This is like a hologram of the human body

that fits over it in several layers; these subtle bodies each form part of the Aura and

relate to different aspects of ourselves. It is within these layers we may have some

imbalance or blockage, which can show some sign physically, mentally or

emotionally, even spiritually.

When you study the Chakras, it is clear that different cultures have listed many more

than seven, but consistently over the centuries that number has been identified as

the main and most important and these are used for health, healing and harmony.

These seven Chakras relate to not just our physical and emotional health but also

our spiritual self.

This spiritual aspect of ourselves is what links us to the universal energies and holds

the key to all of our experiences and knowledge, past, present and future. Each

individual energy centre links to different elements of those experiences, memories

and knowledge, whilst firmly connected to the physical body and all of those related

systems too! Hence you can see why the term, mind, body, spirit is so often used

and is incredibly relevant. Each one is intertwined and this is why we endeavour to

bring balance back to the body, the mind and the spirit. I see it a bit like a stool with

three legs, each of those is totally necessary to achieve a firm and solid base; to

ignore one of them would be as much use as a two legged stool!

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
The association with Yoga and Hinduism

Many people first encounter the Chakras as part of their Yoga practice if it involves

meditation, as most classes and teachers do incorporate the spiritual as well as the

physical aspects of yoga. There has also been a spread of greater knowledge about

Eastern philosophies and religions and Hinduism is the means by which we in the

West have come to learn more about the Chakras and their meaning. They are now

part of many more modern practices and therapies such as Reiki, color healing and

sound and vibrational healing where they can be part of a directed visualization or

meditation.

Vedic texts (the ancient language of India) refer to the Vrittis, which are the names

given to different tendencies, which are expressed through our feelings and

emotions. The word vritti means literally a vortex – in this case of consciousness –

and you can think of it a circular activity with no beginning and no end. The ‘role’ of

the vrittis on a physical level is to trigger the glands that are linked to those

tendencies and stimulate them to secrete the corresponding hormones. Of course

this is done at a subconscious level for most people, although masters such as Yogis

are able through long practice to control and master many of the physical elements

such as breathing and ability to withstand pain.

We can probably all recognise the physical signs we have experienced such as

feeling your heart swoon or having butterflies in your stomach - these are not

confined to experienced yoga practitioners! In the Hindu tradition, these physical

manifestations refer to our experience of love which is the vritti associated with the

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
heart (mamata in Sanskrit) and it’s opposite, the vritti of fear (bhaya) which is in the

stomach.

The physical feeling of the ‘butterflies’ is firmly located in the body, and related to the

appropriate vritti. As you can see it is clear that each vritti may have a negative or

positive expression. Even the best tendencies, such as love, can take on a negative

aspect if it is not in balance and can lead to jealousy and possessiveness.

If studying in this tradition, it is the aim of the master, or Yogi, to find balance and

harmony. This is achieved by being aware of the state of the vrittis and working not

to defeat or ignore them, but to channel that realization to greater self-knowledge

and ultimate harmony of the whole body, mind and spirit.

The Chakras themselves

The seven main Chakras have their own unique qualities and their own specific color

which also has properties that are associated with it. I will go into more detail on

each one in their individual chapter, but let’s start by identifying them and seeing

what parts of the body, and which aspects of consciousness, they affect:

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
If you look at the illustration, you can see that the seven Crown Chakra

Chakras are aligned one on top of the other and we will start Third Eye Chakra

at the base and move up through the body, as we will do

when we examine the individual Chakras in more detail later.

Base Chakra
• The Base Chakra relates on the physical level

to bodily stamina, the spine, and hips. It affects your

sense of security, basic needs, and instincts. The

color associated with this Chakra is red.

• The Sacral Chakra relates on the physical level to the

reproductive organs. It affects your emotions and feelings and your creative

centre. The color associated with this Chakra is orange.

• The Solar Plexus Chakra relates on the physical level to the small intestine. It

affects will power, your sense of self esteem, and your personal power. The

color associated with this Chakra is yellow.

• The Heart Chakra relates on the physical level to the circulatory system. It

affects love on many levels and is the doorway or bridge to the higher

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Chakras. The color associated with this Chakra is green.

• The Throat Chakra relates on the physical level to your throat area. It affects

communication, including the vibration of the words you use, and your own

personal truth. The color associated with this Chakra is light blue.

• The Third Eye Chakra relates on the physical level to your eyes, your brain

and mental activity. It affects your intuition, or in other words the ability to

“see” in the widest sense, and your own inner knowing. The color associated

with this Chakra is indigo, a dark purple/black blue shade.

• The Crown Chakra relates on the physical level to your brain and mental

activity. It affects your consciousness and your higher self and spiritual

connection. The color associated with this Chakra is violet.

The previous description is by no means comprehensive, but rather it gives a very

simplistic overview of the major energy centers within the body and starts to show

how each is connected, not just to the direct areas in which they are located but also

to the associated organs, glands and hormones they can then link with.

The colors that are associated with each Chakra are those of the Rainbow and they

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
are also seen in the individual Aura of each person, as I mentioned in the first

chapter. If you are able to ‘see’ Auras then you will notice or feel them and that will

enable you to start to build a picture of what is going on around you. As we have

seen, each Chakra is associated with a specific color, but it is also the density or

brightness of that color that shows you the level of energy associated with that

specific Chakra.

This gives you more helpful information on the state of that Chakra, for if the shade

is bright and clear then that would point to a higher, more vibrant, energy showing

the positive attributes of the color. If the shade is duller, then that may suggest a

more sluggish energy and maybe the more negative attributes of that Chakra. For

example, a sense of bright orange around someone may indicate positive emotions,

feeling creative and flowing, an overall pleasant sensation, whereas a dark or muddy

orange may suggest a blockage emotionally, or anxiety.

Looking at ‘what is’ rather than ‘what you would like’

I dislike using the words positive and negative in relation to the Chakras and

personally describe them as either being in or out of harmony. After all, a lot of

people associate anger as being a negative emotion for example, and yes it can be,

but everything is relevant. Anger channeled the right way, aimed in the right

direction, can positively move you out of a situation where you no longer want to be.

It is no good pretending that we don’t have low thoughts and feelings at times, and

we must look at ourselves openly and honestly. Only that way can we appreciate

and attempt to understand what is really going on, evaluate things and then take

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
decisive action to either continue that way or make changes.

Interpretation is always conditioned to some extent by what we expect and what we

want. Looking at the colors of your Chakras, and your Aura, it is important to be

realistic and not to see them as you wish them to be. For instance, if you see

yourself as a highly creative person, that might influence how you see the Chakra

associated with that quality. I am just suggesting that it is more useful, and helpful, to

take a clear view of what is actually reflected in your Chakra and your Aura, rather

than seeing what you wish to see. It’s natural after all; we all want to be seen in our

very best light, but that doesn’t achieve anything (other than a feel good factor!)

I would like to make it clear that there are no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ colors, rather that each

one has attributes that we would associate as being both good and bad. As with all

things, too much of something can be as detrimental as having too little. Harmony

comes when we are in balance because our true nature is to flow.

Basic Aura Color Associations

Before going on to the Chakras in depth, I thought it would be helpful for you to look

at the relationship between the Auras and Chakras in terms of the colors they

present.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Any of the colors already associated with the Chakras may well be present in the

Aura, as well as several others, depending on the person interpreting the

information. Often there will be more than one but, as ever, it is easier to describe in

simpler terms, so I’ll keep to one at a time for now!

The Aura – as can be seen in this illustration - surrounds

the body, the different colors I have used here are to

indicate the different subtle energy layers - each one

connected via a specific chakra.

When connecting with auras, you will rarely if ever see

marked layers, the colors will appear more uniformly, in

patches, with varying hues and even holes or

irregularities. So will usually appear more like this;

The following are a few of the associations with some of the most common colors

seen in the Aura.

AURA COLOURS:

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
• Color Bright/Vibrant Dark/Dull Purple. This indicates very good intuition, and

an active mind. There may be some conflict between logic and interest in

spiritual matters and intuition. On a physical level, may be prone to

headaches and tension.

• Color Blue. This indicates good communication and honesty. It can also

indicate someone is very reflective with a good sense of fairness and justice.

Darker shades may suggest loneliness, or even feeling low. On a physical

level they may have throat problems or mouth sensitivities.

• Color Green. This indicates a nature lover, and often seen in the aura of

healers. However the patchy or dull hues of green can also be seen in a

person who closes off their heart to others and feels lost or uncertain. On a

physical level they can be experiencing heart problems or blood ailments.

• Color Yellow. This indicates a sunny, optimistic nature, although they may

take on too many projects, and not complete them, or can lack focus, and

might appear indecisive. On a physical level their challenge with will power

and focus may present themselves as stomach problems.

• Color Orange. This indicates a creative, warm personality but they can over

analyse and this may lead to feeling emotionally drained. On a physical level

this can lead them to suffer digestive problems.

• Color Red. This indicates a physically active, passionate, personality, but can

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
also signal impulsiveness, a quick temper or anger and they can be taken

over by their desires. On a physical level there may be skeletal problems or

difficulty with elimination.

• Color Brown. This indicates a lover of the countryside, and if not able to

access that they can be feeling hemmed in or restricted. On a physical level

they can often benefit from cleansing and detoxing to recharge their energies.

• Color Pink. This indicates the state of the Inner Child, and levels of self love,

and purity. On a physical level, this can mean problems with the heart if you

are being too hard on yourself and not providing enough compassionate

nurturing of the Inner Child.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Chapter 3 Base Chakra

The Base Chakra is the first of the ‘lower’ Chakras, but this does not refer to it’s

importance but simply to it’s placement in the lower body. Also, to the fact it has the

lowest vibrational frequency of any of the Chakras because of it’s associated color,

which is red. This is the Chakra that relates to our earliest life experiences and our

sense of security, safety and self. To be properly balanced in life we need a firm

foundation, and this Chakra is the ruler of that sense of being grounded in the real,

physical world and at home there. It affects your sense of security, basic needs, and

instincts and the qualities commonly connected with this Chakra are physical power,

determination to succeed, leadership, and independence.

The Base, or Root Chakra as it is sometimes called,

is found below the sacrum bone at the base of the

spine and when it is fully open you feel abundant, in

good health, and connected with your body. In Yoga

texts the Chakras are often referred to by their Indian

names, and so this is the Muladhara ( Mooladhara)

Chakra, which simply means root place or foundation

in Sanskrit. In that tradition the Chakras are

represented as lotus flowers and each Chakra has a

different number of petals and a stem attached to the

main energy channel running through the centre of

the body.

Physical qualities

On the physical level this Chakra controls the area just below the buttocks to just

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
above the sexual organs. It relates to our material life so affects our physical

stamina, the spine, and hips, as well as our skeletal structure, blood, muscles,

tissues and organs, including our external sexual organs. This Chakra is also

concerned with elimination so it manages digestion and excretion of food, the small

intestines, colon, and sexual well-being. Problems in any of these areas can point

to an imbalance, with the Chakra being blocked or too open or shut down

completely.

Emotional and spiritual qualities:

To achieve balance we need to have a firm base and this Chakra helps us maintain

our connection with the earth and that encourages solidity and resistance. The focus

here is on being alive, present and in a physical body. It is also the place where we

begin to bring things into physical reality in our lives because this Chakra controls

the manifestation of turning our thoughts into reality.

In the Hindu tradition the four petals of the lotus have a profound and wide reaching

meaning, which I relate to in further publications, for our purposes here they

represent the emotional tendencies that find expression in the Base Chakra.

These are:

• Dharma - psycho-spiritual longing - aligning yourself with 'universal law' - the

natural flow of 'being' - an individual connected to a greater truth.

• Artha - psychic longing - ensuring your hierarchy of needs is provided for on a

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
material and emotional basis.

• Kama - physical longing - understanding and fulfilling the sensation of desire.

• Moksha - longing for spiritual liberation - once the true nature is understood,

experienced and all constraints released - there is enlightenment in a spiritual

reality.

Because this Chakra relates to the beginning of our life, it also has the aspect of

innocence. This is what allows us to experience that child-like sense of wonder and

joy without any judgment or prejudice. It is purely instinctual, we are born with it and

it cannot be destroyed – though it can be blocked and buried by conditioning and

damaging experiences. It is the way a child will express immediately, without

reservation, what they are thinking often to the embarrassment of the adults present.

That sense of ‘knowing’ gets dulled in its expression as the child is told that’s ‘not

nice’ or punished for saying out loud what is often in the adult’s mind, it is a true

expression of an inner wisdom that is always available to us, but hard to reach if the

Base Chakra is closed or blocked.

As we progress through life, it does not become less important but does tend to

relate more to our feeling safe and secure. In our world today that can mean many

things but a few important real life factors would be how safe and secure we feel at

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
home and at work, some of the considerations might be;

• Can you comfortably afford your lifestyle or are you constantly chasing

payments?

• Do you actually feel comfortable in the area in which you live, whether that be

town or countryside, an apartment or house even living in the right geographical

location?

• How is the atmosphere at home, within your family, are there regular

tensions/arguments - is it an emotionally safe & comfortable place?

• Are you comfortable at work, do you experience any form of bullying or

excessive stress and pressure there?

• How do you manage your stress/tension?

• How well do you look after your physical health, from diet to exercise?

In balance

Because the Base Chakra is all about being physically there and feeling at home in

situations, when energy is flowing through it and it is open, you feel grounded, stable

and secure. You are more likely to take people on trust and not regard them on first

meeting with suspicion. You have the ability to feel present in every situation and

don’t have the urge to ‘defend’ your territory against all comers. Physical stamina

and energy are good and you rarely suffer from problems with elimination and

digestion.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Imbalance

When this Chakra is unbalanced or closed there are no shades of grey in your world,

but everything seems more black and white in how you perceive things, situations

and people. When out of balance this Chakra can create an overwhelming desire to

acquire material possessions, to increase your ‘territory’ in order to feel more valued

and secure. This may make you seem at its most extreme to be both materialistic

and greedy and as someone who is resistant to change. This can lead to you being

very self-focused and needing acceptance and approval from others to give you the

balance that is missing in your life. Of course the converse of this would be if the

imbalance related to an underactive chakra, you may be excessively shy or

withdrawn, it is possible you may suffer panic attacks and be very anxious. You

might rarely put your best foot forward, never showing the true beauty of your own

potential.

Because this Chakra is related to the skeletal and muscular systems, a common

symptom of it being out of balance is when we experience lower back pain. There

are many aspects that are linked to back pain but principally it is associated with how

we deal with life. Pain in the various areas of the back can represent different fears:

• lower back is specifically about how we deal with money. Fear of lack of

financial support, and of not having enough to support ourselves and our

families.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
• middle of the back represents balance or lack of it. Also guilt about how we

make, or don’t make, decisions and our fear of being stuck in life.

• top of the back represents our fears of not feeling loved and a lack of emotional

support. It represents how we ‘hold’ ourselves in life and whether we are

confident and strong in who we are, or feel unable to deal with our emotions and

feelings.

Case Studies;

The Base Chakra plays a key role in our energy system and although it is situated
right in the groin area, and is linked to the skeletal system as whole, it also is specific
to the legs and feet and can affect the entire bottom part the aura.

This was very apparent in the aura of one lady who was intrigued with the whole
subject of auras and wanted a reading with her friend - 'just for fun'. In these cases I
simply describe what I can see and if the client wants, I will interpret the information
and then go a little deeper.

It was abundantly clear - there was a huge void or hole in her aura, right below her
feet!

As I looked at it - I got the distinct impression that this was something she was trying
to push away. She asked me to explain what I saw and felt. I very carefully talked
about the energy and said that in her particular case I felt something in her childhood
had been very difficult for her to deal with, that it was as if she was trying to push it
away from her, cutting it off. This was not the time or place to go further but in a more
appropriate setting she could safely work with it.

She looked at her friend and at me, she was astounded that such things could really
be seen or felt. She composed herself and said that what I described was accurate
and although a little shocked, she was pleased to know that there were things she
could do.

They both went for a coffee to have a break and talk about things. The friend came
back to see me, thanking me for how I had dealt with the situation, that there was

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
indeed an issue that was disturbing her mate. She had been sent over to say that at
a more appropriate time the lady would like to come back and work with this. She
had not felt safe before and had not wanted to approach anybody about it. Now she
felt she would be able to.

When doing any energy work, I use all of my senses and am guided by my intuition,
each person is a unique individual and what is relevant for one may not be so for
another.

A teacher and a friend of mine asked me to work with the energy of a male friend, to
see what sorts of things I could pick up - she felt she was too closely involved and
simply asked me to tell them anything as I came across it.

Whilst scanning the man's' energy field I noticed a very marked difference from the
top of his body to the lower part. As I reached his knees, holding my hand inches
away from him, the energy changed, it was greatly diminished, almost nonexistent
and very cold; this was the same right down to his toes! The thought that came to my
mind was that his legs were not part of his body, something was amiss, it was like
they were not attached. The left one was the weakest and I felt there had been a lot
of surgery. Yet I had seen him walking in to the room prior to this, he walked
normally, he had blue jeans on and his socks clearly showed there were feet inside
them!

Anyway, I said exactly what I felt, I don't try and analyze too much, especially with
others accustomed to this sort of work. They both smiled and nodded to confirm
what I was saying. He went on to explain that a couple of years previously he had
suffered quite terrible damage to his legs - "just about blown to bits" was how he
described it.

She confirmed afterwards, that she regularly works with the leg energy, although he
doesn't suffer much physical pain anymore, it is a weaker area within his system and
they have a program to improve his overall health, a holistic approach to boost his
entire energy.

The gentleman had been in active service at the time and in later chapters I touch on
how another of his chakras was showing an imbalance and the information that
presented itself to me there.

The Base Chakra is the root of our physical existence, it gives our wonderful spirit

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
the perfect medium by which to experience life - the human body! I often think of it

as it giving our spirit the physical boots to walk our own path. Without one the other

is not complete. When you view things this way you start to appreciate your body

and naturally want to do the best for it, improving your physical health and stamina.

Chapter 4 Sacral Chakra

This is the second of the lower Chakras and is

sometimes referred to as the spleen or splenic

Chakra and is associated with the color

orange. It can be found just behind and slightly

lower than the navel – what is often referred to

in Chinese medicine as the Tan T'ien, and in

Japanese as the Dan Tien, and refers to the

central energy point in the body in those

traditions.

The main qualities of this Chakra are creativity, reproduction and confident self-

expression and being comfortable with your sexuality. Creativity refers to all its

forms, from expressing creative energy in the arts to creating a child, as this Chakra

relates to the bringing forth of new life.

Adaptability and flexibility are also associated with this Chakra, as is the quality of

intention (more specifically the desire behind the intention). As human beings our

ability to thrive, prosper and develop depends on these qualities. Being able to be

adaptable and flexible are key to our survival as a species and our ability to develop

a strong intention helps us move forward and achieve our goals. It also is concerned

with relationship, boundaries, and submissiveness. The Indian name for the second

Chakra is Svadistana ( Swadishthan).

Physical qualities

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
On the physical level this Chakra takes care of our genitourinary system, stomach,

lower abdomen and the functions of the body associated with the sexual organs,

bladder, prostate and lower bowel. It is closely associated with our digestive

function, and regulation of our blood sugar. The urinary system is in the remit of this

Chakra, and when it is weak there is susceptibility to lower back pain, prostate

problems, kidney or bladder weakness and skin problems. Problems in any of these

areas can point to an imbalance, with the Chakra being blocked or too open or shut

down completely. This chakra is all about the energy being able to flow.

Emotional and spiritual qualities

Because the Sacral Chakra is the Chakra of creativity and pure knowledge, of

enjoying a fertility of mind body and spirit, it is also the Chakra from which we draw

our inspiration and are able to fully enjoy and appreciate the beauty around us.

It is very much our emotional power centre, adding fuel to the fire, regardless of the

nature of the individual emotion. It can be the home of our more negative emotions

such as anger and jealousy as this Chakra is where the dynamic of power versus

vulnerability is played out but also where the wonderful qualities of optimism, self-

appreciation, enthusiasm and courage are founded. It is the centre of our passion.

Balance

When the Sacral Chakra is aligned and open we are fully connected to other people,

and able to accept ourselves enjoying personal time alone to balance that. This

means you are able to express your feelings easily without excessive emotion and

are passionate, lively, sexually confident and open to intimacy in relationships. You

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
are proud of your own achievements; you enjoy living life and benefit others at the

same time with your own abundance. You seem to naturally attract good situations

and people to you.

Imbalance

When this Chakra is closed, or out of balance with the other Chakras, there can be a

lack of energy and problems of physical disorders such as impotence, prostate

difficulties, urinary tract or gynecological problems in women.

Signs of an under-active Sacral Chakra are an inability to express emotions, and to

keep your feelings under control. It can also mean you are reserved in your

relationships and don’t find it easy to open up to people. If you do not feel fully self

confident and allow negativity or a poor self image to be predominant in your

thoughts. Unless you can release and change them, you will set the conditions for

the Chakra to be out of balance. Very often people with an imbalance may be

feeling emotionally tied or drained by those close to them, feeling a sense of

hopelessness about the whole situation. This at the same time as feeling a moral

justification of giving up their own needs for others - feeling they are doing right 'by

the children' or 'for the needy'. This may be OK short term but left for longer periods

this can in itself become a way of being and at some level there is often a sense of

injustice or resentment at not being able to fully embrace the fulfillment of their own

life.

If this Chakra is over-active or wide open, you can become too easily overcome by

your feelings and get too emotionally attached to people. You may even find yourself

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
prone to a strongly habit forming nature, even suffering one or more addictions -

whether that be smoking, alcohol or sexual encounters. On a deeper level, it can

also involve the holding down of all forms of self-expression, including creativity, and

a morbid fear of death that is not related to any particular illness or condition.

Many of the aura/chakra readings I have done with people showing sacral chakra

imbalances have almost a matching or corresponding imbalance in the throat

chakra. How we communicate - if at all - our emotions is an important part of our

daily lives. We may store old hurts and grievances and then at inappropriate times

we may explode with words in an emotional outburst. Maybe it is the opposite; you

swallow them down, never truthfully revealing how you feel, quietly resentful. They

may never be spoken but the energy behind those swallowed thoughts and words,

that quiet seething, is stored - in your own system!

When you understand these things still sit within your energy field, in and around

you, you can decide to make changes or find ways that fit with you to work through

painful or difficult emotions and feelings, expressing them safely, able to get on with

the business of living.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Chapter 5 Solar Plexus Chakra

This is the third of the Chakras and is just below the sternum and extending as far

down as the navel. The 3rd Chakra is the

power center of the body concerned with

will power, focus, discernment and reason

and also, perhaps a little surprisingly, with

intuition. It is the place of our ego, and

sense of self and it is from here that we

get our sense of generosity and

contentment. It also gives us usable

personal power and emotional control to

'get the job done'. The color associated

with the solar plexus Chakra is yellow and

its Indian name is Nabhi Chakra.

Physical qualities

On the physical level, the Solar Plexus Chakra is one of the chakras associated with

the adrenal glands, the stomach, liver, diabetes and digestive problems. Because

this Chakra is where we have our sense of peace, it is the Chakra concerned with

relieving stress and tensions. It also governs our liver, the organ that is responsible

for assimilation and processing in our body.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
The liver is our largest organ and is almost a ‘cleaning factory’ for our wellbeing. It is

responsible for removing toxins such as medicine and alcohol from the blood, breaks

down fat from our food, helps the blood clot at a wound and maintains a stable core

body temperature. If the liver is not functioning properly then a number of health

problems can result. On a metaphysical level, the liver is often attributed as the

storehouse of anger - most often hitherto unexpressed anger. See chapter 10 for

possible ways to safely and appropriately release that.

This Chakra’s connection to the adrenal glands is where we get our energy and

regulates our ‘fight or flight’ mechanism (which also connects them to the base

chakra). Our adrenal glands, in particular aldosterone, helps keep the balance

between sodium and potassium in our body through preventing excessive loss of

water through the kidneys.

Problems in any of these areas can point to an imbalance, with the Chakra being

blocked or too open or shut down completely.

Emotional and spiritual qualities:

As this Chakra is the home of the ego, it is also the place where we find our personal

morality and sense of being balanced in life. In one sense it is where our spirit

resides as it is where our life force energy is based. This after all is the route of our

initial sustenance to maintain life in the womb. This is the place of instinct where our

‘gut’ feeling resides and is the place spiritually where we experience free will. The

spark of motivation starts from the solar plexus and is what sustains us when we

encounter difficulties.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
In balance

When this Chakra is in balance, open and working properly, it assists us to properly

plan and regulate our lives. We are able to marry both logic and intuition and bring

them to bear so that we can be attentive and focused both on what we want to

achieve in the long-term, and on what we are actually doing in that moment. When

this Chakra is in balance we are able to be self-motivated and in charge of our life.

We can enjoy life, we have momentum and motivation, feeling confident and in

balance, able to cope and adapt to all that life brings.

Imbalance

When energy is not flowing freely from this Chakra we have problems with self-

esteem and confidence, our sense of adequacy, issues around responsibility and a

feeling of not getting all the benefits life can bring us. If the Chakra is closed, we can

get stuck and unable to take appropriate action or see the way forward. It can seem

as if all the sweetness of life has disappeared.

An over-active Chakra stokes our temper from irritation to outright anger to the point

of being out of control or exerting control over others. Perfectionism and severe self

criticism can result from this Chakra being out of balance and also feelings of being

weighed down in both an emotional and physical sense. Interestingly this is very

often an area where we can easily carry excess weight, as fat in women and the

'beer belly' in men. It involves a large area of muscle that is all too often underused

in our modern lives.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
One woman who was encountering relationship difficulties with a possessive and

controlling man described feeling physically weakened in this area whenever she

was in his presence or even thought about having to encounter him. When we

looked closer at her energy field and she was asked to describe how she perceived

it, she described it as being similar to him having his claws right in this area, as if he

was somehow feeding on her energy, making her feel weak and fearful.

In addition to professional relationship advice and personal empowerment

strategies, she used energy work to fuel her intent to become more positively

assertive and deal with this relationship and to set better boundaries for herself.

I have noticed that this chakra is often implicated in relationships where dominance

or bullying is prevalent - whether that be a personal relationship or work. Once a

fearful response has been triggered it often sits here, until you can find the strength

to deal with it effectively.

Chapter 6 Heart Chakra

The heart Chakra represents the central balancing point of the Chakra system. We

have just learned about the three Chakras relating to the external and physical world

and to come are the three that are concerned with our internal world. This fourth

Chakra is our bridge or link between these worlds and is found over our heart,

behind the sternum or breast bone. This

is where our mind, body and spirit are

integrated and where the balance is held

between the external and internal worlds.

It is often shown as a 12-petaled lotus

representing our physical body ascending

towards our higher self and the higher self

moving down to materialize into the body.

They meet at the heart where they are

integrated to create a place of balance

and peace and in connection with

everything around us.

The heart Chakra is associated with the color green, and its Indian Sanskrit name is

Anahata. The qualities associated with it are love, total security and confidence, as

well as acceptance and belief.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Physical qualities

On the physical level, this Chakra looks after our heart and lungs, thymus gland and

immune system and controls the area from the bottom of the rib cage up to the

collarbones. It is related to problems like asthma and various heart conditions.

People speak about someone dying from a broken heart, and on a physical level we

know that can’t be true, but actually deep distress and physical illness can ‘block’ the

heart so it creates problems such as high and low blood pressure, hardening of the

arteries, and other heart problems. Problems in any of these areas can point to an

imbalance, with the Chakra being blocked or too open or shut down completely.

Emotional and spiritual qualities:

It is the heart Chakra that radiates our spiritual qualities of compassion and love and

from where we access our sense of being responsible for others and how we behave

towards them. It is here that our true self, our spirit, has its home and from where

that unchanging self acts as a witness to all our actions. Our feelings of joy, pain,

anger, and fear are regulated from here and it is the source of Divine Love and the

gateway to the soul. On a metaphysical level, this Chakra promotes compassion and

healing, nurturing for ourselves and others.

In balance

When this Chakra is in balance you feel love, kindness and affection and are

compassionate towards others. You are committed to having relationships that are

harmonious and balanced and that stem from your own strong sense of self-

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
acceptance. You seek connection with others and are able to open your heart to

love and be loved and are able to take emotional risks, and to trust others as well as

yourself.

Any insecurities, fear or doubt cannot remain when the heart Chakra is in balance as

this is where we make our first connection with spirit. This means we are no longer

solely concerned with ourselves but are looking inward to our spirit and manifesting

that outwards in our dealings with others. In a sense we truly start to know who we

are, as opposed to the false beliefs we often have about ourselves.

Imbalance

Because the heart is the central balancing point between body and mind/spirit, if it is

out of balance we are torn between the conflicting parts of ourselves. Our very

centre is threatened and we tend to close down. This is most easily seen in our

breathing which is not the deep sustaining breath we need, but shallow and

insufficient to nourish us. Breath is life, as it contains essential elements to sustain

us, and if we do not engage fully with the breath we are not connecting with the heart

Chakra. This means a withdrawal from life as we retreat into ourselves and our

connection to others which can make us appear cold and distant.

When this Chakra is blocked there is an inability to express any deep emotions, both

positive and negative, including joy and serenity, but also fear, sadness, a lack of

love for others, relationship problems, lack of feeling, and an absence of joy.

Being closed down is one manifestation of an out of balance Chakra, but having a

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Chakra that is too open can also cause problems. If this is the case, then we turn all

our attention onto others, a classic ‘caregiver’ situation where our time and energy is

focused on helping others so that we lose our own sense of balance and self-

centeredness. Others may see your attention and love as suffocating; it is too much

for them and needs to be redirected back to your own nurturing.

Case study;

I was working with a mature lady one day, she was seated in a chair, whilst I stood

behind her, scanning her energy field. I moved my hand slowly up her spine, a few

inches from her body; I got to the bottom of her shoulder blades- the back area

associated with the heart chakra. The instant I got to that region I had the distinct

impression of her inner child - a perfect image of the woman but as a small child -

the 'child' had jumped right out and was cowering behind her. This child was

frightened of the woman in front of me. (This no doubt seems bizarre to many of you,

but as you will appreciate, when working with energy, pictures and symbols, feelings

and emotions are the language we use. It is in the interpretation of this visual,

sensitive language that we can then make sense of with our logical minds).

Part of how I work is to dialogue with whatever form of energy comes up, then I

interpret that and relay the message as appropriate to the client. I 'tuned in' to the

small child and then informed the woman about what I had seen. I told her that I had

seen the child version of her and that the impressions she had given me were that

she had had quite a strict, almost regimental childhood. I felt her father had been a

military man, believing that children should be seen and not heard. He had held

very high expectations of her and could often be brutally abrupt. He had rarely

shown emotion. She had not experienced much in the way of positive nurturing, in

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
the form of hugs and cuddles.

A result of this was, she, as an adult was in the habit of being very hard on

herself, constantly pushing to achieve, fun and enjoyment did not play a very large

part in her life - if at all.

She turned round to me, reached out and touched my hand, she had tears in her

eyes, simply nodding that that was exactly so.

After a few moments she explained, she had a tough exterior she presented to the

world - that that was what people who knew her expected of her almost. But inside

she was longing to hold someone and be held close too. She just couldn't let herself

reach out.

I explained to her, that in my view, that was what she was doing now, although she

had not been able to verbalise it and would not have spoken about such things, her

subconscious was displaying the message loud and clear - I just happened to have

witnessed it. Now she was more consciously aware of it, she could take action.

She decided this was a time in her life when she could look at the past, deal with the

emotions, understand what went on. Her father no doubt knew no different, he knew

only what he had been taught from his own parents and his childhood, his upbringing

was probably very similar. Again she confirmed that.

We talked about the sorts of things she could do, how to acknowledge and

appreciate that childlike part of herself. (Different things work for different people,

from counseling, to keeping a journal, incorporating more simple pleasures into daily

life, whether that be singing, drawing, painting, sewing, watching comedy films etc

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
etc) We also worked on an energetic level to re integrate the child energy.

A few weeks later I saw her again, she looked much fresher and brighter and she

was pleased to tell me that people around her had commented on how different she

appeared to be. She had taken up a new interest in gardening and was keen to inject

as much fun into her life as she could. She was so grateful to have had the

experience - again she had not expected anything of the sort when she sat down

and would not have entertained the idea on a purely intellectual level and certainly

would not have openly discussed anything about her background. The fact that I

simply described what I saw struck an absolute cord within her - an authentic truth, in

line with her authentic self.

Working on an energetic level, a lot of information comes through simultaneously

and it can be very revealing and intensely personal. A compassionate and

understanding manner is essential, so people can feel safe and able to talk about

sensitive issues. Once they gain understanding, they then can make changes to their

everyday life if they so choose.

Chapter 7 Throat Chakra

In the 5th Chakra we have moved from the physical to the realm of spiritual and

emotional love. This Chakra is the expressive centre of Divine Love. Our centre of

personal wisdom lies here and it is where we express our power through the medium

of our voice. It is literally about finding your true voice and being heard. Here is

where we experience pure relationships with others and the power of our voice to

speak our truth, use diplomacy, and be in perfect balance. Although it is centered

around the throat it is about all forms of expression, how we present ourselves to the

world, including our body language. Creativity is also an important aspect of this

Chakra and its expression is dependent on the relative balance of the Chakra,

whether that be through, song, dance, writing or art in any form.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
The location of the Throat Chakra is mid-way up the neck on the spine and the

colour associated with it is a light Blue. The Indian name for this Chakra is

Vishuddha.

Physical qualities

On the physical level this Chakra is linked with the shoulders, jaw, throat, trachea,

neck, bronchial tubes, upper lungs and esophagus. It controls the area from the mid-

point of the nose down to the collarbones and is responsible for managing the

functions of the larynx, as well as our hearing and how the thyroid gland functions.

Problems in any of these areas can point to an imbalance, with the Chakra being

blocked or too open or shut down completely.

Emotional and spiritual qualities

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
This Chakra rules communication and creative expression and helps us speak

openly and effectively our innermost thoughts and feelings without fear and reveals

the perfect balance that we strive for in our lives. There can be a fear of death

associated with this centre, but I prefer to focus on the powerful contradictions that

this Chakra holds and expresses. These are the qualities of love versus fear, and

courage versus cowardice. This Chakra enables us to express our own personal

integrity and overcome and transcend fear, finding our authentic voice to express our

authentic self - the harmonious tones of Mind, Body and Spirit.

In balance

When the throat Chakra is open, you are able speak your truth with clarity, and

express your true feelings with love, kindness and compassion. The masculine and

feminine spiritual energies are merged and balanced here, combining power with

knowledge and understanding so we can fully and easily express ourselves.

When the throat Chakra is open, you have no problems expressing yourself, and this

is a primary need for anyone engaged in creative work. You are putting out your

thoughts and ideas, no matter what form your creative work takes, and you have

great pleasure in self expression. Many people think that because they cannot draw

they are not creative - that just is not so. We all have creative instincts, from tending

a garden, to making changes at home, simply creating our personal environment to

fit with who we are. All of this takes creativity, so many restrict their own view of

themselves and limit their own potential.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
The ability to flow with change is also very relevant to this chakra, many people fear

change then wonder why they feel restricted or life seems stale and stagnant. In

balance you can embrace all the positive benefits of change and let go of the need to

control things just to keep them as they are.

Imbalance

On a physical level, if this Chakra is blocked you might experience regular sore

throats and some thyroid problems. When it is unbalanced or closed there may be a

sense of injustice as a result of holding in emotion and not expressing what you are

really feeling in that moment. If you do have a tendency to not say what you think or

feel then this will close down or limit this Chakra. Along with this can be too strong a

fear of what others may think, and of being dependent on their opinion of you, that

can result in withdrawing into yourself and allowing others to dominate you. This may

lead to feelings of low self esteem and resentment.

It is not just about what we speak, but also what we hear, the messages we receive

about ourselves from others, if there has been criticism or bullying this too can reveal

itself in this chakra.

If this Chakra is over-active, there is a tendency to speak too much, usually to

overwhelm and keep people at a distance. This may mean you are not paying

attention to what they are saying and this makes you a bad listener which is off

putting to others. However, if the throat Chakra is under-active, you have the

reverse and don’t speak out much at all, with people thinking you are shy and

introverted. You may suffer with a stiff neck on a regular basis - it is after all where

we tend to hold in a lot of tension.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
The words and language we use all have a resonance, harsh words, malicious

gossip and bad language have a lower vibration than peaceful, kind and loving

words. Just think about the last time in an argument, how it felt to be around the

energy of the situation and the types of words and language used - body language

included. You see on a level we all know this, yet somehow we tend to push it from

our conscious awareness.

Case study;

I was working with a man in his late sixties, whilst sensing his energy, I felt a

restriction around his throat area - I actually felt he was wearing a barbed wire

necklace- that was the image I saw. I usually allow the first impressions I get to flow

on, so that more information comes through and also what needs to be done - if

anything.

I felt he had had to swallow a lot of his words; there was a lot he had felt he could not

say. I relayed this information to him and discussed the topics he felt unable to talk

about. He was a very quiet man.

It turned out as a child he had been very open psychically, one of his close relatives

had been a spiritual medium but his own parents were absolutely adamant that it

was a totally taboo subject, refusing to engage with him at all about it. This had

made him feel bad for even having such thoughts, let alone being able to

acknowledge and work with his talent.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
As a consequence he continually battled with his instincts and gut reactions and the

belief he was a bad person because he had strong intuitive feelings. He had become

over focused on the practicalities of life and kept a great deal to himself, unable to

'open up'.

Although his own family, his son in particular were now trying to support and

encourage him, he found it just too difficult to open a doorway that had been

effectively shut for so long.

He was pleased to be able to speak openly and also found it quite an emotional

release. He appreciated my take on the subject as he found he could relate to my

practical nature even though I talk about spiritual matters.

Although he did not pursue the subject further, the gentleman was able to freely talk

about things with his family, his son and daughter in law in particular; it seemed to

give him a sense of peace and acceptance.

Chapter 8 Third Eye Chakra

If you want to develop your psychic and intuitive abilities then the 6th Chakra is

where these have their natural home. Physical and spiritual understanding are also

located at the third eye as this is the place of power and acquisition, particularly of

knowledge and understanding, and is related to mental flexibility. It is the Chakra

that helps strengthen the relationship between personality and spirit.

The Third Eye Chakra is situated in between the eyebrows and is associated with

the color Indigo. The Indian name for

this is the Agnya Chakra which

means ‘command’ and this is the

place where – when this Chakra is

open - we will be more in command of

our lives. You can actively use your

mind to create how you want your life

to be, instead of being a victim of

circumstance.

Physical qualities

This Chakra controls the area between the eyebrows and down below the eyes so it

manages all our mental activities, optic nerves, eyes, ears, nose, and sinuses.

Through the pituitary gland (often termed the Master Gland of the body) it rules our

central nervous system and our hormones. Common conditions with this Chakra

include sinusitis, headaches and poor vision.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Problems in any of these areas can point to an imbalance, with the Chakra being

blocked or too open or shut down completely.

Emotional and spiritual qualities:

This Chakra is associated with us gaining a greater awareness and sensitivity. Here

we are connected to our sense of compassion and forgiveness and where we can let

go of anger and resentment to see what is behind our own behavior. This Chakra is

not only the ruler of the highest level of our intuition, but it is where we reveal our

ability to think and our intellectual processes.

It is about being congruent with what we think, say and do. When you receive a

telepathic thought , it cannot lie, it is what it is. It is in our words, behaviors and

programs that we tend to bring in confusion and control. Add in emotions and beliefs

and you can see how a simple clear thought can be muddied and fragmented. It is

because we find it so hard to separate such things (and for the most part don't even

stop to think about them ) that we find it hard to comprehend the true capacity of the

mind.

The Third Eye is where consciousness and unconsciousness merge and affects our

dreams so that we are able to create physical realities from our own powerful

thought processes. This is known as manifestation, or cosmic ordering as it has

become popularly known, where we direct our energy to having something happen in

our world. On a spiritual level this Chakra manages clairvoyance, telepathy, and the

healing energy of our own thoughts and intentions.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
In balance

To have this Chakra in balance means we have given up much of our conditioning

and habits and become free of our ego. We become a mindful witness to our actions,

thoughts and words. It has awakened our need for wholeness and completeness so

that our whole body, mind and spirit is in harmony. This is the final ‘barrier’ to the

transcendence of the final Chakra and when it is open our intuition is powerful and

our consciousness is ready to move on to the next level.

Imbalance

The Third Eye Chakra is about insight and visualization, but if it is too open you may

be someone who spends too much time fantasizing about what you want without

proper grounding in bringing it about. Because it is so tied to our mental processes, it

can make you over dependent on being rational and always looking for a scientific

explanation. Your intuition, insight and ‘gut feelings’ for instance are not taken on

trust, you want sound reasons to back it up, and there may be a lack of any spiritual

element in your life.

When this Chakra is unbalanced or closed there can be a lack of attention, your eyes

wander around and you may be self-centered and overly materialistic. You may allow

irrational worries or fears to dominate your thinking. If it is under-active, you can get

easily confused and you may tend to rely on authority figures and others to do your

thinking for you.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Illnesses such as ear infections and ear ache can occur when this Chakra is

unbalanced, and such conditions are related to the metaphysical aspects of this

Chakra. For instance, our ears are about hearing and if we don’t’ like what we are

hearing, or don’t want to listen, then this Chakra becomes blocked and we get a

physical illness relating to our ears that prevents us hearing properly. Similarly, if we

don’t want to ‘see’ something that is happening in our life we may experience real

physical problems with our vision. The same applies to the other parts of the body

ruled by this Chakra.

Case Study;

As I was working with the energy of a man in his forties, I felt an imbalance all

around his Crown Chakra area, as I moved towards the Third Eye I had a great

feeling of disorientation and some very vivid images, sensations and emotions. I

could 'see' a village school, small children in smocks and a female teacher, all filing

out. It was in a hilly, mountainous district, there was great sadness and disturbance. I

said the words "there are mountains to climb" it was as if there was so much to be

done yet it was all pretty hopeless.

As I was working with a teacher and her friend I knew I could speak freely, they had

simply asked me to let them know whatever I felt. So I described everything as it was

revealed to me.

It turned out the gentleman had been on active service, in an area exactly as I

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
described and had witnessed a lot of trauma, the majority surrounded a small school

and the occupants. He did have recurrent nightmares and was receiving treatment. It

was his stored images I was picking up on, mixed in with his fears and emotions.

We all worked to clear what was possible at that time on an energetic level, and he

was already following a much better physical and psychologically restorative daily

routine.

Having seen them both many times since, he is in a much more stable place, they

regularly incorporate healing into their regime and he is much brighter, functioning

really well. He himself comments if any of his friends saw him now they would not

believe it possible, but he is much more happy and content with his life and can deal

with the demons of the past much more effectively. He is aware of the powerful

energy of thoughts and endeavors to use that knowledge to his advantage rather

than let his thoughts control him.

Chapter 9 Crown Chakra

The final Chakra is related to our spirit centre where we go beyond our own wisdom

and connect to a higher source of imagination and inspiration. It is where we

integrate all the Chakras with their respective qualities to achieve a higher state of

awareness and being, the place of true wisdom.

This Chakra is considered the highest vibrational centre in the subtle energetic body

and is connected with a deep inner searching or spiritual path. It allows you to enter

the highest states of consciousness, a

balancing of the right and left

hemispheres of the brain and achieving

a true balance of body, mind and spirit.

The Crown Chakra is located at the top

of the head, or just above it, and the

color associated it with it is Violet, and

sometimes in some systems it is also

referred to as being white. The Indian

name for this Chakra is Sahasrara.

Physical qualities

On the physical level this Chakra controls the function of the pineal gland and our

upper brain. It is associated with the control of the Central Nervous System and in

particular the Cerebral Cortex. The Crown Chakra is where on a physical level

illness can be chronic, such as cancer, and related to our immune system. Problems

in any of these areas can point to an imbalance, with the Chakra being blocked or

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
too open or shut down completely.

Emotional and spiritual qualities:

Here is where we experience a universal connection and contact with the Divine or

our spiritual self. We have let go of ego and expanded our consciousness outwards

into the world and upward into the realms of spirituality. This gives us a sense of

being completely and safely open and in a state of great calm and harmony with

ourselves and the world around us.

The words surrender and release are qualities of the Crown Chakra, but in a spirit of

graciousness and gentleness and not with resistance or grudgingly. Release

signifies that you trust in your own higher purpose and surrender allows the

acceptance of your onward journey into further spiritual and emotional wisdom.

In balance

When this Chakra is open, you are free from prejudice and fully aware of the world

around you. You feel connected and in tune with your soul, integrated and whole – in

other words, completely at one with yourself. This is the place from where we can

open ourselves to healing or divine energy, particularly during meditation, so we can

feel this life force energy moving in us.

Imbalance

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
When this Chakra is unbalanced or closed we do not have that feeling of oneness,

but rather of being separate or abandoned with no real certainty about life and a lack

of purpose. This can result in hyperactivity as this uncertainty leads to excessive

activity to almost try and justify our existence. If it is under-active, then you are

probably not very aware of spiritual matters, or your own spirituality and this can

often be apparent in the rigidity of your thought processes.

A too open, or over-active, Crown Chakra can result in being too much of a thinker

and intellectualizing about everything to an excessive degree. When spending so

much time in your thoughts there can be a tendency to be almost addicted to

spirituality and spiritual practice, almost to the point where you neglect your own

physical needs and nurturing. A serious imbalance can include several kinds of

mental illness or unbalance, including psychosis. On a metaphysical level when this

Chakra is out of balance emotions arise such as resentment, grudges, deep hurts

and even hate. Some people reflect this in a greatly inflated sense of self

importance or excessive pride.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Chapter 10 Help for specific problem areas

The previous chapters have given you a guide to the Chakras and how their state of

being in or out of balance can affect you. It is more generally accepted now that

there is a link between our physical wellbeing and our emotional, mental and spiritual

health and that stress, anxiety and worry can create real, physical illness. There is

much greater awareness that our physical health is dependent on the energetic

health of our body, and understanding how the Chakras work is core to the

management of our energy system.

Each Chakra has an effect in different parts of the body and illness can be traced to

an energy imbalance in that specific Chakra. If our energy flow is blocked, or weak,

then that creates the conditions for the body to be susceptible to disease. The

physical disease that results will be related to the Chakra where the imbalance has

occurred and you will see how to overcome that in relation to specific Chakras in this

chapter. For instance, if a Chakra over a long period is closed, weak, or too open

then all these conditions can be reflected in your physical body and that is why it is

important to know how to manage the Chakras and repair any imbalance.

It’s also important to remember that the signs of an out of balance Chakra are not

always physical, but they are usually evident to you on some level of sense or inner

knowledge. Your basic life force has been blocked or depleted and you may have

feelings of depression or listlessness, be less able to think clearly and have a sense

of loss – although you may not be able to say what that is. Self-confidence is often

knocked and your sense of purpose seems to have weakened or disappeared with

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
feelings of anger or unhappiness without any real reason that you can put your finger

on.

Of course the physical and the emotional are often tied together and the Chakras

illustrate for us where the imbalance can lie. An example of this is when we are

upset or frightened; most people will experience stomach upset and discomfort, in

extreme cases diarrhoea can occur. The Chakra related to this is the Root Chakra,

and a key element of this Chakra is security. When that is threatened, the Chakra

goes out of alignment and your emotional state of fear or anxiety is demonstrated in

that area. When the situation is resolved, you are calmer and your Chakra goes

back to its normal state – and so do your stomach and bowels.

I have only highlighted a few possibilities in this book to give you some idea of the

relevance of what our energy can be trying to let us know. There are many more

characteristics, traits and physical, even psychological realities hidden within the

Chakras and our entire energy field.

The First Step:

One of the very best things you can do for yourself is to get into the habit of relaxing

- not the watching TV kind of relaxing but Deep Relaxation alongside deep breathing

exercises - It has so many positive benefits on many levels. It helps re balance your

energies; it can free your mind and help you distance yourself temporarily from the

daily pressures and stresses of life, putting you in a calmer place able to cope with

those pressures in a much more effective manner.

It has become very common for us to shallow breathe - mainly using the top part of

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
the chest rather than our full capacity. When we take deep, full breaths, we are

benefitting many muscles, bringing in more vital oxygen for our cells and stimulating

the lymphatic system.

In hypnosis we use breathing techniques to successfully conquer all sorts of phobias

- the body cannot be tense and relaxed at the same time - but because it seems so

simple many people disregard its importance.

One of the easiest ways to start this good habit is to listen to a recording, I have a

free one for you at www.secretaura.com/relaxdisc.zip - listen to it regularly and you will

reap the benefits.

As you progress you may want to follow guided meditation or visualization

recordings - these are great they not only relax you but can be tailored for any

specific purpose to help improve your life. All you have to do is schedule the time, to

lay back and listen!

There is more information at www.secretaura.com or join the free newsletter to get

regular tips, ideas and special promotions.

I have outlined for you the general areas where imbalances in the body occur and

you have seen which Chakra they are related to. What is very helpful however is to

spend some quiet time and literally ‘tune in’ to your body in the area of that Chakra.

Just relax and try to ‘see’ what is there and how strong a picture of the Chakra and

its color you are able to get. You may not see anything at all, and that is fine, it may

be that you get a feeling or a physical sensation and it is important to not dismiss

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
anything that comes up but just sit quietly and absorb any pictures or feelings that

arise.

We all have the capacity to heal our own bodies, and understanding how to

strengthen our Chakras will help in this process. It can be a physical, mental or

emotional issue that you want to heal. Exactly what it is does not matter, just the fact

that you are willing to address it and deal with it, will already have started the healing

process.

Of course I would always recommend getting professional advice and using your

knowledge of the energetic system of the body alongside any conventional or

complementary treatment. It is a very powerful part of us but do not substitute it for

common sense!

What rebalancing the Chakras will do is to free up your energy flow and restore

vitality and focus, qualities you need to affect any form of change. In balance the

body can better heal itself.

You may have a good idea of where you are out of balance, or it may be that looking

at what symptoms can arise from that will give you a better idea. There are some

common problem areas when a Chakra is out of balance and a number of ways to

approach dealing with them.

You will see I have suggested some crystals or crystal elixirs for each Chakra, but in

addition to that there are some specific crystals that can be used for every Chakra.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
These are:

• Clear Quartz - this is a very versatile crystal, it can amplify energy, and a

crystal can be 'programmed' specifically for certain purposes with intent. It is

useful in just about any metaphysical activity but as with all crystals use your

own intuition and instincts as to which feels right for you - if any -to work with.

• Zircon- this is good for shifting sluggish energy, but it is also good to use to

help keep you grounded - keeping things real. It is often used as a boost to

help focus the intent of the mind, to follow things through with action, to create

the things you want.

Now let’s look at how you begin to rebalance and

strengthen your Chakras.

How to strengthen the Base Chakra

This is all about being ‘grounded’ and connected to the earth and a need or drive to

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
feel fully committed and involved with life. To this end you need to be secure in your

family group and relationships and if your birth family don’t provide this, then balance

it by creating a separate group of friends, organizations or support groups where you

are valued and feel safe, somewhere you get a sense of belonging.

Helpful hint: Whenever you can, spend time outdoors and walk barefoot on the

ground where possible to feel your connection to the earth. Physical movement in

any form is good to strengthen the Base Chakra - it doesn't have to be a marathon- if

you can make exercise fun, it stimulates other chakras too and you will enjoy the

benefits. Try dancing, swimming, walking in the countryside if possible, see what

classes are available near you. Even gardening, working with nature can have a very

grounding and positive affect.

Color is very important to strengthen every Chakra so surround yourself with the

dark red tones of the Base Chakra in your clothes, or have something of that color

around you. Meditate on this color in the correct Chakra position and really ‘see’ the

color and allow it to flood the whole Chakra area. Feel the power of the color, the

strength it can bring you.

Crystals to increase the Chakra energy in the Base Chakra usually correspond to the

red or earthy tones; some are Bloodstone, Carnelian, Red Jasper and Quartz.

Personally I have often found Hematite to be particularly useful and is often found in

bracelets, - to me it is beneficial in manifesting, drawing our thoughts into physical

reality, keeping us grounded.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
There are many books on the subject of crystals to learn more but you can use them

in a number of ways. Either simply hold the crystal, using visualization to 'see' it

energizing the chakra, keep it in your pocket or whilst meditating and relaxing lay it

over the particular chakra you wish to work with and allow its vibrations to work

naturally with your own.

Music can help ground you so choose instruments or tones that relate to this Chakra

and that means deep, rhythmic resonant sounds such as those made by drums.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
How to strengthen the Sacral Chakra

This area is strongly related to your creativity and sexuality and is best supported by

developing good support systems and strong personal boundaries. It is about your

sexual and sensual nature and preferences. It is essential to create a sense of

safety and that starts from taking responsibility for what is happening in your life and

being honest about your strengths, and weaknesses. It is important not to neglect

your creativity, however that manifests for you.

Helpful hint: Once the root Chakra is grounded, the

Sacral Chakra needs literally ‘feeding’ and for you to

focus and pay attention to taking care of your physical

body. Good nutrition, healthy sleep habits and regular

exercise all will support this Chakra. Dance is very

beneficial, especially with sensual or flowing

movements, as is swimming or activities with water as

this is all about fluid movement.

Our sexuality is such an intimate part of ourselves, it is not just about the physical

element, it is so much more. This involves the psychological implications, emotions

and behaviors - all intangible yet incredibly powerful. Any concerns at all in this area,

no matter how sensitive can be freely and appropriately discussed with professionals

and can bring immense peace of mind when you do.

Promote your own creative expression, think about what appeals to you, what you

would really love to have a go at, or incorporate into your life. This is about bringing

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
what your desire not just to your mental awareness but to your physical reality too.

This Chakra is about appreciation of creation so incorporate something into your

space that you love to look at- pictures of wonderful scenery, people you admire or

love, flowers, or favorite animals. Having such reminders around you, helps to lift

your thoughts and energy every time you look at it, just as seeing a pile of un- ironed

laundry can be a constant reminder of a whole list of chores to be done-

unconsciously adding to your energetic burden!

This chakra deals very much with our appetite too, so any disorders or concerns you

have relating to that should be addressed.

Talking, expressing your concerns is particularly powerful and releasing with regards

to this emotional centre. Find someone in whom you can confide and who can help

you to move forward and improve your life. If it is a family member that is great but

very often people close to you are 'harder' to talk to - for many reasons - they can be

very busy with their own problems, they may have a biased view or may be affected

by you changing your life. Consider counseling, it may not be required for very long

but can be incredibly helpful - allowing you a space to really explore how you feel

and talking about the many possible avenues, that on your own you may not

discover.

Color here to use is the bright orange of the Sacral Chakra to surround yourself with

it’s vibrant energy. If you don’t wear this color, then add it in the form of a picture, or a

cushion in a place you regularly sit or can see it. Meditate on this color and ‘see’ it in

the correct Chakra position and try to feel it’s vibrancy in the Sacral area.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Crystals that can help balance the second Chakra

include Amber, Bloodstone, Carnelian, Citrine, Orange

Coral, Garnet (Orange and Red), and Quartz. The one

crystal I have found particularly beneficial here has

been citrine, it works alongside other crystals well or is

very good on its own.

Musical sounds that support this Chakra are lighter than the Root Chakra and

include guitar, marimbas, and saxophone. Belly dancing is not only a great activity to

stimulate this chakra physically but the music is good too. It is indicative of fluid,

sensual movement with a positive sense of fun!

How to strengthen the Solar Plexus Chakra

This is the area where our self-esteem and confidence resides so any imbalance or

block in this Chakra will affect our sense of personal responsibility and feelings of

adequacy.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
The most powerful way to strengthen this Chakra is to focus exclusively on loving

and nurturing yourself physically and emotionally. It requires turning the focus

inward and not being dependent on others taking care of you, but acknowledging

those things you are good at and doing more of them.

It is about deciding what is acceptable for you, setting positive boundaries as well as

being focused and motivated to achieve your goals. It is about discovering and

appreciating your own personal identity.

Helpful hint: Any self-esteem/self improvement work will help nurture this Chakra and

that nurturing will be helped by exercise that makes you feel good about yourself.

This area is often under exercised so incorporating core strengthening to your week

will bring great benefits. I personally am a great fan of Pilates - for an entire hour I

know I am working on my core strength whilst benefitting the rest of my body. The

core being not only the underlying muscles of the stomach but also those of the

entire back and spine, it is very beneficial in increasing suppleness and stability. Try

it! Yoga also works well with the entire body but it is important you find something

that you can enjoy- that way you are more likely to stick to it.

I mentioned previously that this area is associated with the liver and on a

metaphysical level that is linked with stored anger. One way to free this up that many

people have found helpful is to 'bash' it out- safely! Usually this is done by beating a

couple of cushions or pillows- with your fists, a shoe, a stick - whatever. It has a

similar affect to hitting the punch bag at the gym.

Many of you have no doubt raised an eyebrow at that but often this sort of anger can

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
be stuffed away for so long we are not always immediately conscious of what or why,

let alone where it came from. This is not the immediate angry outburst at a specific

person or event (that would relate more to the anger of the base chakra). The stored

anger here usually sits with a deep feeling of things not being fair - a sense of

injustice and helplessness.

Anger should not be frowned at or pushed away, far better for it to be safely

acknowledged and appropriately expressed.

What is important is that it is released- without harming anyone. I have found the

physical action of bashing it out (onto the unsuspecting cushions/pillows or punch

bag ) alongside the intent of releasing such anger very powerful for people.

Initially most people say they couldn't do that - they would feel silly - yet when they

do, they get an enormous sense of relief. No one is watching, no one need know -

only you. For the most part in less than a couple of minutes an emotional release is

triggered or a feeling of utter exhaustion mixed with tears and sobbing. It's a bit like

detoxing on an energetic level.

Once released you can work on charging the area up, filling it with positive energy, in

whatever way works for you. That may be with professional help, may be exercising,

using crystals or holistic therapies even just sunbathing - absorbing the vital energy

from the sun.

Include fruits and vegetables that are yellow and green in your diet too. Adding more

laughter to your life can inject a much needed energy boost, we all know laughter is

a great tonic. If you don't find much humor in the people around you, try watching

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
funny films or old sitcoms, actively incorporate it into your life, don't wait for other

people to do it for you. This is about you taking responsibility for your life, how you

want it to be and how you want to feel.

Color to focus on here is yellow, but the deep golden yellow of the sun rather than

the lighter more acid yellow such as found in a lemon. Use this color to visualize it’s

warmth and light filling your Solar Plexus.

Crystals and/or gem elixirs which may help to balance this Chakra are Amber, (this

seems to have a natural warmth and can be very comforting) Yellow Calcite,

Carnelian, Chrysoberyl, Citrine, Malachite( this can be protective but also seems to

aid our ability to take action), Quartz, Golden Topaz, Yellow Onyx, Pyrite( a power

booster!), and Tiger's Eye.

Music feeding this Chakra includes Cello,

Violin, Oboe, Piano, and Guitar. What is

most important is that the music makes

YOU feel good.

How to strengthen the Heart Chakra

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
We all strive for balance and harmony in our lives and when this Chakra is out of

balance then so are we. The heart is truly the centre of where we regulate our

emotions and imbalance here means we are unable to express our deeper feelings

and so we feel disappointed and out of alignment with ourselves. This Chakra asks

that we have faith in ourselves and keep a good balance between giving and

receiving. Most importantly it cannot be strong and open if you are judgmental and

critical of yourself and others so practicing forgiveness will help open your Heart

Chakra.

Helpful hint: We can best support and strengthen this Chakra by allowing ourselves

to discover our true passion, and then following it. If you can literally ‘follow your

heart’ then you will start to bring this Chakra back into balance.

A question to ask yourself as you go through your day is "What would I love to do in

this situation?" A little self care never hurts! Even if it is just for a few minutes - it just

says you value yourself.

Many people I speak with, when asked what would they really love to do, find it hard

to answer. It is almost a foreign concept to them. Their life is predominantly built

around need - what needs to be done - just to get by. They view dreams/ goals as

things 'other people' have or do.

Without a dream/ ambition / passion or love, life has no color, no purpose, no

sparkle. The heart needs sustenance and nurturing and each one of us finds it in

different ways. It is not about cost or great extremes, often the simplest things can

'touch our hearts'.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
Color associated with the Heart Chakra is green, though pink also has a strong

resonance. Use either of these to boost and renew the energy of this Chakra,

depending on which you feel most drawn to.

Crystals associated with the Heart Chakra are Agate, Green Aventurine, Pink Beryl,

Green Bloodstone, Green Calcite, Pink Coral (Pink), Emerald, Green Garnet,

Lepidolite, Moonstone, Opal, Rose Quartz, Green Tourmaline and Malachite.

Musical instruments for strengthening this Chakra include Harp, Flute, Violin, and

Piano. If you have particular favorite tracks to listen to keep them to hand, this is

about nurturing YOU and realizing how important it is to value yourself.

Understanding that from this place of self respect and self appreciation you are much

better able to be of genuine help to others around you, without depleting your own

energy.

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
How to strengthen the Throat Chakra

Communication becomes a major issue when this

Chakra is out of balance. To be in honest

communication with ourselves and others is not

easy when this Chakra energy is blocked or

weak. In order to speak your truth you need to

release unspoken thoughts and feelings and have

clear lines of communication.

Helpful hint: Freeing the energy can be helped here by doing some deep breathing

and voice work exercises such as toning, chanting and singing. You also need to

focus on ‘finding your voice’ through keeping a daily diary or journal where you

release hidden thoughts and emotions. If you suffer with neck tension, try massage

and simple stretching exercises to loosen your muscles here.

It is not always necessary to verbalize your thoughts to those involved, sometimes it

is not possible if it relates to someone who has passed away. This is not about

conflict, but resolving what needs to be said and expressed. Often it is helpful to

write what is known as 'a letter not to send'; you simply write a letter to the other

person (people) involved expressing everything that is on your mind, then you

destroy the letter. Again this may seem strange but as with most things until you try

them you won't know if it is of personal benefit. If you would prefer to actually talk

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
with someone about the issue, seek out a trusted friend or family member but if it is

likely to cause them upset consider a professional to talk to. You are assured of total

discretion and someone who is dedicated to listening to you, resulting in you feeling

'heard'. This is one of the most important things as in day to day encounters we tend

to not be fully 'present' in our interactions. It makes a great difference to know that

your concerns, feelings and emotions have been heard and understood, without

judgment and blame.

Color for strengthening this Chakra is light blue or turquoise. Think summer sky or a

crystal blue sea and focus this color in your meditation and wear it whenever

possible.

Crystals to help balance this Chakra include

Aquamarine, Aqua Aura, Blue Lace Agate, Kyanite,

Labradorite, Lapis Lazuli, Blue Onyx, Blue Sapphire,

Tanzanite, Blue Topaz, Blue Tourmaline and

Turquoise.

Music that feeds this Chakra includes the Human Voice, Flute, and Woodwind

instruments. You don't have to be a great singer - try humming or whistling! It is all

vibration! The music doesn't have to be a chore - singing along in the car at the top

of your voice, to a great power ballad or rock/ pop song can be very invigorating and

releasing!

How to strengthen the Third Eye Chakra

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
If your focus and intuition are weak, and your thinking is not as clear as usual, then

this Chakra can be strengthened by looking first at what unmet needs are present in

your life, particularly those relating to your emotions and spiritual life.

Helpful hint: this Chakra responds to your paying real attention to yourself through

practicing awareness of yourself and others. Focus on prayer, meditation and

visualization exercises to open up this Chakra. Simply promoting a new habit to

enjoy deep relaxation will benefit your body and mind. It provides a quiet time so you

can hear your own thoughts!

If you have not been in the habit of listening to and acting upon your intuition - start!

Even if it is simple ways- taking an alternative route to work or to school - just

because! If a particular subject intrigues you, find out more about it, try and remain

open minded, consider the possibilities and then discern what feels right to you. If

new opportunities arise and they 'feel 'good take them.

Find ways to deal with any negative thoughts or worries, don't just let your

imagination get lost in the fantasy world of TV, start to use it to make your own

dreams come true. On a metaphysical level it can be very beneficial to de- clutter

your physical space - your home, your workspace, your car! You would be surprised

at just how that can affect your energy; everything around you is symbolic of how

you are feeling. Not only does it spring clean the bits you can see it does the same

for the bits you can't!

Color to support the Third Eye Chakra is Indigo, a dark purple/blue, which will help

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
relax and feed this Chakra.

Crystals for strengthening and balancing include Amethyst, Angelite, Fluorite

Labradorite (has a magical quality about it) Lapis Lazuli(has a 'royal' feel to it,

encouraging honest insight and knowledge), Lepidolite (good for soothing stress &

nerves), Meteorite (careful as this can be too strong for many people to tolerate),

Moonstone (has mystical qualities linked with the sacred feminine energies, good for

inner soul searching), Opal, Blue Sapphire (good to stimulate the mind and to focus

on clear thought), and Sodalite.

Musical instruments that will also engender the right feeling for this Chakra include

synthesizers and electronic instruments that have a higher frequency.

Also many tracks are now available to stimulate different states within the brain, to

promote relaxation and to aid meditations for those interested in taking things further.

You might enjoy soothing classical tones or following guided visualizations that 'take

you on a journey'.

How to strengthen the Crown Chakra

This is the Chakra where we face our sense of purpose

in the world. The ‘why am I here’ questions that arise

when we are in this realm of spiritual energy and where

we can face a sense of being disconnected from God/Spirit.

Helpful hint: This Chakra is fed by unconditional love, compassion and peace so it is

essential to nurture and practice those qualities on a daily basis. To approach each

person and encounter them with an open heart and mind and to strive to see only

the best in others. This becomes easier to do when you appreciate that they too are

having their own experience here, their own journey, with their own concepts and

understanding.

Each individual has their own level of awareness, it is not about being better than or

knowing more than anyone else; it is about understanding and acknowledging the

unique spark that resides inside of every single one of us.

Colors for this Chakra are violet or white. Soft and delicate colors to maintain a

sense of light and harmony. If you meditate on these and see them just on your

www.ChakraSecretsRevealed.com
crown, or above it, you will be inviting in the higher realms of energy to support your

growth.

With any meditation or energy work it is a good idea to get a sense of being

connected to the purest form of white light, feeling good and safe and protected at all

times. To draw down this white light, into the crown and surrounding your whole body

and aura.

This in itself is very purifying and offers a protective layer to your energy. You can

draw the energy down, through all of the chakras and out at the bottom of your feet.

Often we would also root the energy to the earth - imagining roots coming from our

feet down into the earth below - this gives a grounding affect to our energy, ensuring

we remain balanced whilst working with our spiritual energies. Some people like to

ground themselves this way before and after meditation.

Always take your time to resettle your energies after working with them, whether you

are in a group or on your own. Give yourself time to have a drink and sit still for a few

minutes, before attempting to continue with your day. If you are new to this, either

take a look at my website for further details on recommended procedures, follow the

guide on any audio tapes or cds, or alternatively find a group or to practice with. If in

any doubt always seek professional guidance.

Crystals and/or gem elixirs for balancing the Crown Chakra include Amethyst,

Angelite, Selenite, Sugilite, and Tanzanite (this works with the heart and mind, allows

for compassionate discernment).

Musical instruments/tones feeding the crown Chakra are chimes, singing bowls,

organ and electronic instruments.

The information here will help you to identify where you are stuck or blocked and

begin that healing process. Sometimes it can be helpful to go a little deeper and

learn more. You will find information on that in the chapter; Resources.

Hopefully what you have read so far you will have found intriguing and interesting,

sparking a desire to pursue the topic further. For any chronic or severe conditions I

The Power of Your Mind can Create Your Life as you Want it to be.

I have already commented on the fact that our thoughts have an energy or more
correctly they are energy. The sad fact is that because we have the ability to think
and do so every day we assume that there is no more we can do, or that we have no
control over what or how we think. WE DO!

It's just that we tend to spend more time learning how to use our gadgets, our
phones or cameras than we do how to use our own amazing minds.

Many of your repeated thoughts and patterns can be traced back to your younger
years and some of them may well be holding you back. Very simply put those
thoughts and beliefs are stuck in the energy of the subconscious mind, when you are
able to release those you are able to move forward, stepping into the real, authentic
you.

For when you release what you longer need, you make room to welcome in the new
patterns, behaviours, people and situations that you do want!

And as the subconscious mind is connected to every part of the body, its systems
and organs, a great deal of the information can easily be gleaned from working with
the chakra energy. The position, characteristics and attributes of the chakra will
relate to the information the subconscious holds.

A great deal of the time, we just don't stop to think what we are feeding our mind and
therefore we let it feed us or run away with us. This is how you can get consumed
with fear or worry, the imagination has huge capacity to make massive monsters as
well as the most delightful dreams.

You can use the power of your mind to direct healing, positive, higher vibration
thoughts into your own personal energy and that of those around you - people,
places, animals, anywhere.

You can use your energy to create a more positive outlook, to invite better
relationships, successful careers, abundant living on every level. There are many
techniques you can use to do this, that's when you become the conscious creator of
your own life, living life as you want it to be rather than the unconscious creator -
reacting to circumstances and conditions.

The subconscious doesn't work with logic and reason or even time, that's why a lot
of the fears people can experience may seem totally irrational - they are to the
conscious mind but not the subconscious. The subconscious works very visually and
can be likened to conversing with a young child and within that can lay not just your
fears but your great creative genius too and when you can convey positive images to
it, it will set about making those real.

Whether that be for healing, for removing blocks, helping weight loss, improving
success or loving relationships. It is all entirely possible.

When you can work with your energy, you are more in tune with your own authentic
wants and needs and can relax into your own creative potential to make them
happen. It is about you being in your very best aspect, which can only be of benefit
to you, your family and friends and everyone you meet.
