Have you heard about THE GOD TEST?

April 1, 2011

Hello

How are you doing? I hope all is well! I am super excited to share with you this month what God has done at Queen Mary these past 3 weeks. We launched a
campaign on campus called The God Test which is a tool we have been using to start conversations with people on the critical questions surrounding faith,
scepticism, and the purpose of life. There are 10 Questions (1 set for people who believe in God and 1 set for those who don’t believe in God) that you ask that leads
into 2 different final questions. For the people who don’t believe God exist the final question is “Can I pray for you?”; and for those who say they believe in some type
of God question 9 asks whether they would like to know what the Bible says about these questions, and question 10 boldly asks the question “Are you willing to follow
Jesus and trust him with your life? I saw people genuinely listening as I shared about Jesus and why he came, what he did for us and how he has reconciled us to the
Father.

I had so much fun engaging with students and sharing the Gospel of Jesus with so many students especially the Muslim students. One of our values is raising leaders
of the next generation and I was so encouraged to see our students passionately involved in this campaign through passing out flyers, doing The God Test with
people during our set time as a group and them taking the test away and doing it with their friends as they studied in the library. I would like to share with you 3 stories
from 3 different students and their experience during this campaign:

It was a transforming moment of my life; I While I was giving out fliers for the God test, I
got to share my faith with other people bumped into a girl that I knew - and in all honesty,
who were not Christians. My faith in God was trying to avoid! We began talking, and she
increased and I was also challenged to began asking me questions about the God test and
look deeper and search out the things of what my views were on certain topics. From the
God. conversation, I ended up being able to share my
-Joseph Kiarie testimony with her, and as she was the editor of
QMUL Student Final Year one of the Uni magazines, she also said that she
would like to print my testimony in an article she
"The God Test proved to be an ingenious way of reaching out to the world and encouraging was doing on some of the things we were
people to carefully assess their spiritual and idealistic inclinations through stimulating discussing.
conversation in an informal setting. The guideline questions made it easy for me to speak -Gilly Berry
openly and boldly about my faith in Jesus Christ and the love He has for the whole of QMUL Student Final Year
humanity; a message that was well received by many ... Praise be to God!

I hope their stories have encouraged you. I know I was encouraged as they were sharing with me their experience out on campus during these past 3 weeks. At our local
church we have also seen people using this tool to start dialogue with their colleagues and even hair dressers, and them now having an opportunity to continue to boldly
share their faith with people they see every day in a loving way. Jesus is being shared here in London and we are seeing people touched through this tool, and we will
soon see salvations in people’s lives as we keep talking about Jesus and them entering into a loving relationship with our Saviour, Lord and Heavenly Father.

Something else I am excited about is that we finally found a 3rd housemate who has just moved from Texas, USA to replace my old flatmate Lemmy. So it is now 2 girls
and a guy and we great along great. Her name is Cassie, we both like old movies, stupid movies (ie Zoolander and Galaxy Quest), both fans of The Office (US version)
and she is a Messianic Jew. It has only been 2 weeks but I am really enjoying living with her, we are both neat freaks haha and love film. She is getting her master’s in
screen writing. She even brought me grits and flavoured coffee creamer which I have been enjoying every morning literally haha. I have to slow up with the eating grits
daily, I need to make this last box last until I come to the States to visit haha. Prayer Request:
