To whom it may concern:

Please accept the attached resume for consideration in filling your position
for a Production Supervisor. I have served as a plant manager for Arch Aluminum
and Glass and held several other supervisory positions in manufacturing faciliti
es. I have been very interested in OSHA regulations since first entering the ind
ustrial maintenance field 15 years ago. I have completed a variety of MSHA, conf
ined space, NFPA70E, hazardous material, and many other safety courses associate
d with the industrial maintenance field. I am currently enrolled in the occupati
onal safety program at Columbia Southern University. I recently completed my BSB
A degree from Columbia Southern University. I chose this school because they ha
ve a fine reputation for their occupational safety program. Throughout my work o
n my Business Degree I have taken my elective courses to work toward completing
my Occupational Safety Degree. I have already completed college credits for 29 C
FR, OSHA Law, Hazardous Materials Handling, and Fundamentals of the OSH Act. I a
m a certified Occupational Safety and Health Trainer.
My extensive experience in the industrial electric field combined with ongoin
g pursuit of safety related courses of study make me an ideal candidate for this
position. Increasing productivity has been an integral part of my maintenance e
xperience. My leadership has been an integral part of assisting the teams I have
been a part of to achieve the goals we established. I have managed crews in mil
itary, construction, and industrial settings. Much of my experience was in the M
id West where a volatile economy has put me in the position of experiencing seve
ral lay offs and plant closures. This experience has allowed me to work in a num
ber of different facilities and observe a variety of attempts to achieve a produ
ctive and safe work environment. Having actually performed duties in various env
ironments near a number of hazards gives me a unique insight into application of
OSHA regulations.
My greatest assets lay outside of my experience and training. I place a very
high value on integrity and attention to detail. I will not make a recommendatio
n if I cannot provide documentation to back up my opinion. I prefer to relentles
sly conduct research that will provide a proper solution.
Thanks for taking the time to review my resume. Feel free to call me at (775)
