WORK EXPERIENCE
2008 - 2010: Director, Corporate Safety and Health - Burns & McDonnell
Reporting to the Board of Directors, designed, developed, and implemented initia
tives and processes as part of a company-wide comprehensive Safety and Health pr
ogram. This included development of strategy and monitor of the effective execut
ion of various safety engineering, safety awareness and accident investigation a
ctivities across ten Global Practices, as part of creation of a stronger safety
culture throughout the organization.

*Reorganized the H&S Team to better support ten Global Practices, Regional Offic
es, and EPC projects. Reorganization not only embedded safety into each BU with
in the company and provided internal customers with a single-point of contact fo
r H&S issues but also increased the average billability of the department by 27%
to over 88%.
*Provided leadership to achieve a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) inclusiv
e of over 3000 employee owners and all subcontractors of <0.3 for the past two c
onsecutive years.
*Developed a Continuity and Crisis Management Plan as a result of the H1N1 virus
pandemic. Safety staff spearheaded efforts toward minimizing its overall impac
t to the company.
*Developed an on-line Incident Notification System that allowed immediate compan
y-wide notification of serious and near-miss incidents to apply immediate counte
rmeasures thus preventing recurrence.

Reporting to VP of Global HR, responsible for overseeing and directing the work
of Managers and Superintendents of 16 manufacturing facilities in North America,
China, South Africa, Italy, Spain, Germany, UK and Belgium and over 200 active
new construction, reconstruction, service and maintenance projects world-wide. S
PX Thermal Equipment and Services is a Fortune 500 company comprised of several
brands including Marley, Recold, Balcke-Durr, and SPX Cooling Technologies all d
esigned to meet the need of conventional and combined-cycle power plants, nuclea
r power plants, waste-to-energy incineration plants, as well as the chemical, pe
trochemical and processing industries.
*Developed, deployed and established SPX Thermal Equipment and Services EHS Mana
gement System and framework throughout the global businesses.
*Revised EHS performance metrics to effectively communicate KPI's to all levels
in the business that previously had not been privy to.

2004 - 2007: Assistant Manager, Safety, Security & Health - Toyota Motor Mfg, Te
xas
Selected to lead the Safety, Security, and Health functions for the construction
and operation of Toyota's $1.2 Billion Tundra assembly plant in San Antonio, Te
xas. The plant is the largest, innovative designed automobile manufacturing fac
ility in the world, on 2700 acres, encompassing over 4 million square feet of bu
ildings, 21 On-site Supplier Companies, and over 5,000 new Team Members.
*Direct responsibility for over 28,000 contractors' safety compliance during con
densed building and process equipment installation. Exceeded over 3 Million Hou
rs with no LWD's. Developed Workers Compensation strategy to manage costs to mo
re than 62% below the National Average equating to a savings of over $.50 /emplo
yee hour.
*Managed over $32MM annually of capital and expense budgets while building a ful
ly functional fire department, Security system, and emergency response teams. I
ncluded on-site medical facility.
*A vision and strategy for safety systems were derived from Toyota's foundation
of values and principles. From that, all operating safety policies, procedures,
and management systems were agreed upon, developed and communicated to all level
s of the organization.

&S Professionals, 2 PT engineers, lab personnel along with direct responsibility
for over $4MM annually of operating and capital expenditures. Regular interacti
on with Senior Management, Corporate Legal Staff, and Regulatory Agencies. Manag
ed 2 Title V Permit applications, PSD application for 2 facilities and environme
ntal auditing. Achieved ISO 14001 Certification. Successfully employed risk re

2000 - 2003: EHS Manager - Alcoa, Mill Products
EHS Manager responsible for implementation of EHS programs for an idled facility
purchased as a new acquisition. Managed a staff of one EHS Professional with di
rect responsibility for over $2MM annually of capital expenditures. Directly acc
ountable for additional tasks associated with fire protection, security, janitor
ial, land management and landscaping. Managed the facility in the absence of the
Plant Manager and Engineering/Maintenance Manager.
Dual capped as EHS/Molten Metal Casthouse Manager, accountable for operational a
nd manufacturing aspects of scrap blending and melting. Integral involvement in
productivity, quality, deployment of Alcoa Business System tools, cost control
and people development.
Directly accountable for the entire Worker's Compensation Program. Responsible
for all City permitting activities including building permits, electrical permit

S&H resource for the Energy Division of Primary Metals BU encompassing hydro and
coal generating stations in Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas, Indiana, and Wash
