Lori Kay Jones-Strong

Currently signed on for completion of CBSPD training and testing. I expect to be

certified no later than February 2011. I am seeking entry level employment / ha
nds-on training with accredited healthcare provider with the intention of long t
erm, permanent employment.
Summary of qualifications
Throughout my employment history I've maintained successfully, work that require
s many transferable skills. My years in the Healthcare Industry required constan
t awareness of surroundings, detailed charting, precise and consistent note taki
ng and monitoring of patients situations. Working with the medically frail and d
evelopmentally disabled offered rewarding challenges and lessons applicable to m
any areas of daily life. It also involved long hours on ones feet, lots of heavy
lifting, compassion and courtesy, and a cool head under extreme circumstances.
While working as a licensed Property and Casualty agent in Oregon, the bulk of m
y employ required consistent, timely, and exact note taking, customer service, a
s well as various office duties. Both of these industries require strict adheren
ce to rules of privacy and confidentiality.
I have many years experience working with the frail elderly and especially those
with Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's. Part of these years I work in an adul
t day center developing and directing active and passive activities, as well as
completing required documentation and continuing education hours. I developed ma
ny good relationships with therapists of music, art, massage, and pet therapists
as well.
I haven't worked in any field that did not require joint efforts, multidisciplin
ary teams, and teamwork. Being employed in the healthcare field requires passin
g background checks and supplying supporting references, both of which I can rea
dily do.
