I am currently unemployed, being layed off in a massive lay-off at Nex-Tech Aero
space in St. Louis on Aug. 21, 2009 due to the economic conditions of today... I
would like to apply for a position with your company and I believe I have the a
bilities you are looking for. I have worked both Desk jobs in the office, and CN
C Machinist jobs in the shop.
I have recent work experience in the Customer Service field, also doing MRP Work
(Manufacture Resource Planning). In the past few years I was the Customer Serv
ice Rep for all Lockheed/Martin Aerospace products with direct contact with the
buyer, which included keeping the MRP system current and correct while schedulin
g the jobs in the shop to meet the customers due dates. I have an Associate's De
gree in Aviation Technology, along with many years of General Machining experien
ce.
With several years of experience in the Aerospace and machining industry, I have
knowledge and experience working in a general machine shop with different types
of machining capabilities. I have experience with several different computer's
and software equipment and a considerable understanding of the Aviation and Mac
hining industries.
While being the CSR for Lockheed, I was also the Digital Data Administrator at N
ex-Tech Aerospace in St. Louis, downloading drawings, models, and specifications
from customers secure web-sites, and keeping the shop up to date with the curre
nt and correct configurations by controlling all digital data. I also have skil
ls as a CNC programmer and as a machine operator with emphases on CNC operated m
achines, machining Titanium, aluminum, cast iron, steel, plastic, and rapid prot
otype foam. My strong points include a great common-sense quick approach for pr
oblem solving and working well with co-workers to accomplish the company's goals
