Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Responsibilities included leading a team of 25 IT professionals that supported a
global organization.
K Key Accomplishments:
* Virtualized over 100 servers in the datacenter. Reducing costs for power, coo
ling and space by -33%.
* Internally developed and maintained vineyard and winery production application
. Saving of over $1M in application development and software support fees over t
he past 8 years.
* Reduced long distance costs by -10% and improved network performance by 10% th
rough MLPS (Multi-Packet Layer Switching) datacomm project.
* Delivered IBM's Optim solution for archiving general ledger data, inventory tr
ansaction data, BIMS historic blend compilations and cost runs, while providing
users with transparent access to historic data. Reduced in-line storage require
ments by -50%.
* Consolidated disparate accounting systems onto a single JDE software platform
saving 3 FTEs and reducing software maintenance costs by eliminating 2 ERP syste
ms.
* Provided Regal sales admin group with tools to evaluate product demand against
inventory, which resulted in -5% less inventory and a total year one savings of
$1.3MM.
* Reduced telecomm charges by -20% by leveraging the existing data network via V
OIP solution.
* Launched new wine delivery organization through joint venture with Biaggi Bros
. Built information infrastructure for 2 warehouse locations and avoided over $
2MM in expenses while retaining customers.
* Led the assimilation of three wineries from a $100MM acquisition. Leveraged i
nternal resources to have all wineries running on JDE applications within 90 day
s of acquisition, avoiding $1MM in consulting fees.
* Provided CRM team with the ability to implement an integrated web shopping car
t, resulting in a single view of the customer across all sales channels. The com
bination lowered costs to ISPs, hosting fees and reduced data entry staff.
* Winner 2009 CIO 100 Award and 2009 Information Week 500 award.
