Digital Strategist
Responsible for strategic positioning, envisioning, industry analysis, and marketing collateral including video and web development
Developed a strategic vision around the future of IT and the effects of cloud computing for the Server and Tools Business
Group at Microsoft and articulated this vision through a detailed white paper and presentation
- Specific areas of research: security, compliance in the cloud, workplace demographics, cloud architecture
Crafted launch positioning for Livestand, Yahoo!’s new digital newsstand platform for tablets and mobile devices
- Distinguished Livestand from other market competitors, and created buzz which attracted several third party publishers
Crafted a marketing and positioning strategy for the launch of Montage, a product from Microsoft’s Future Social Computing
Lab, at the 2010 Web 2.0 Summit and Le Web 2010
- Oversaw the creation of three product marketing videos, the launch speech, and multimedia presentation
- Post launch, Montage became the #1 shared topic on Google news and usage statistics have exceeded goals
Developed an interactive demo for Mich Mathews, Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft, to be presented at a keynote event
during the 2010 Cannes Lions Advertising Festival to the top 5,000 global marketers
- Managed the development of a Xbox 360 Kinect branded app for the Windows Phone 7 platform
- Collaborated with Microsoft Research to identify emerging technologies to integrate into the speech
Manage, develop, and motivate a team of six while consistently exceeding budget and revenue goals
- Led the expansion of EAS’s Seattle footprint by heading up office space and infrastructure investments resulting in a better
performing team and a 38% increase in year over year revenue
- Created an ongoing employee development program revolving around structured, bi-weekly industry team education sessions
- Redesigned and curate the EAS website resulting in a 29% increase in traffic and 35% increase in time spent on site
