ive deep water terminals requiring extensive maritime and shipping knowledge.

General Manager, Cement Terminals - Rinker Materials .
* Responsible for operations of Rinker's two import terminals which were the lar
gest importers of both white and gray cement in the United States. Terminals had
40 employees with an operating budget of $15M.
* Port Everglades terminal unloaded a record 1.4M tons of white and gray cement
per year with KOVAKO pneumatic ship unloader achieving a record equipment availa
bility of 96%, a record in the industry.
* Involved in selecting equipment for automation and upgrading of bagging equipm
ent at Miami terminal making it the largest volume bagging facility in the US pr
oducing 350K tons per year.
* Managed cement transport fleet of 117 owner-operators which maximized profits
and set the standard for safety and truck cleanliness for the industry in Florid
a.
* Responsible for capital project for upgrading 1976 Siwertell ship unloader at
Port Canaveral Cement Terminal and bringing it into environmental compliance for
dust emissions. Terminal increased output from 250K tons in 1996 to 800K tons i
n 2006 at 91% equipment availability.

Port Everglades Terminal Manager - Rinker Materials
* Managed all aspects of terminal operations and ship unloading with an operati
ng budget of over $5M with 16 employees and 28 owner -operators of bulk cement t
ruck drivers.
* Developed and managed $10M capital project to purchase a KOVAKO ship unloader
to unload gray and white cement.
* Implemented automated bagging system to allow for white cement and mortar blen
ding.
* Led the Cement Division in both terminal and transportation safety achieving o
ver 6570 days without a "lost time accident."
