HOMEBUILDING SUPERVISOR
Supervised construction, from ground-breaking to move-in, of all Ryland single-f
amily homes and townhouses built in the Crofton region. Coordinated construction
efforts with Virginia corporate office and managed internal and external custom
er relations. Obtained all required permits and licenses. Oversaw site developme
nt work including dirt balancing, wetland issues, utility installations and road
construction. Established long and short-term project schedules, managed materi
als and implemented across-the-board cost controls. Helped design and built new
home prototypes.
* Provided management oversight of as many as 25 concurrent projects in various
phases of construction. Closed 5 to 7 houses per month. Impact: Earned numerous
Production Supervisor Awards for total settlements and dollar-volume leader.
* Established and maintained strong lines of communication with subcontractors a

nning and zoning to resolve site drainage problems in a 500-home community under
going construction. Impact: Anne Arundel County permanently changed permit requi
rements to include a stipulation that adjacent homes must be shown on all site p
lans for a builder to be issued a permit.
