nd directing regulatory and legislative affairs before local and state governmen
ts to protect against adverse regulations and legislation.
* Requested by management to develop state and federal strategy to maximize ROI
associated with increasing output of existing nuclear fleet by amending state al
ternative energy portfolio standards and proposed federal renewable energy stand
ards. Forecasted to generate more than $1 billion in value over next 20 years.
* Avoided $500,000 in daily energy replacement costs after unplanned outage of n
uclear facility as result of coordinating timely delivery of mission-critical eq
uipment that required state approval, permits, and 24x7 state police escorts acr
oss multiple states.
* Stopped efforts to re-regulate electric industry in Maryland after developing
and implementing extensive lobbying and grassroots effort to address attacks on
competitive electricity markets and customer choice. Testified before state Sena
te and House Committees on merits of competitive markets. Conducted media interv

* Developed and implemented far-reaching communications and public affairs model
for nuclear business that utilized array of strategies to ensure sufficient pol

rate marketing structure that included reallocation of assets, improved understa
nding of product portfolio, and process to combine short/middle/long-term market

country's largest electric utilities.

engaging thousands of shareholders, employees, and retirees as part of industry-
coordinated strategy to save consumers more than $25 billion per year.
* Negotiated agreement with region's principal anti-nuclear activist that cleare
