ith annual sales of @ $35,000,000. With the recession beginning I was focusing o
n ticket average and customer service as my first plan of action to make the fas
test financial impact. My DMAs sales were down 2.5% in 2009. Well above our comp
any and Sonic Industries (corp.) average. While focusing on top line every contr
ollable cost was lowered on the P&L both years except food cost. 2009 over 08 &

e.) Mystery shops currently are at an all time DMA highs while dropping crew lab

Managed the Indiana market of 4 District Managers, 27 GMs and over 250 employees
which included 27 locations and had a total of 67 clients.
Indiana region ranked 8th out of 9 regions prior to 2005 with 78% of the locatio
ns not having positive bottom lines. The Indiana region finished 1st in 2006.
Region ranked 2nd for 2007. YTD in 2008 the Indiana has been ranked each month e
ither 1st or 2nd. Food cost was reduced by 5% by controlling portions and invent
ory controls. Labor was reduced by 7% by cross training.

year 14% and YTD 20% when assigned in April. Returned the area to positive sales

1988 managed the construction, start-up, and operation of Shoneys market in Kans
as. 1990 we purchased the quick casual concept, San Antonio Taco Company. I redu
ced labor and food cost by 12% in the first 18 months while increasing sales 5 p
ercent. We obtained sales records in 1991, 1992, 1994, and 1999 using only Four-
Wall" marketing techniques. In 1994 we purchased a casual/catering restaurant in
Franklin, Tennessee (2 million +) and in 1996 we purchased an upscale fresh sea
food restaurant ($4 million +) in Boca Raton, Florida.
Responsible for all operations, ROI, accounting including managing cash flow, an
d marketing.
I was awarded 20% ownership in stock in 1996.
