defined. If the client does not have a printer, just define a simple
printer, such as an HP LaserJet 4 on LPT1: and configure it as the
default printer.

The Folio Box Office Management application does require very

specific printers to print tickets and receipts.

MarTech Systems, Inc. does sell and support the printers

require special consideration and instructions from MarTech Systems, Inc.

If a client needs additional help in designing or implementing their network,

MarTech Systems, Inc. does have additional services available to assist the client.

Microsoft TCP/IP networking is required.

A network will be determined to be functional when it is possible for a

system to ping another system by IP Address and DNS Name.

IP addresses can be assigned dynamically via a DHCP server, or

defined statically. IP addresses can be in a public or private
subnet.

DNS resolution can be resolved via a DNS server, or defined in a

hosts/lmhosts file.

Internet access issues and considerations.

It is suggested that users have internet access and email access.

This will allow users to receive important information from

MarTech Systems, Inc. via email.

This will also allow users to have access to MarTech Systems, Inc.
internet infrastructure to download software updates and other
important information.

Dialup access to the internet will suffice. But, users should be

aware that it could take a long time to download software updates
via a dialup internet connection. In addition, dialup internet
connections can often disconnect, and add frustration to users.

It is highly recommended that users consider high speed internet

connections to their workplace. Cable and DSL connections have
become very cost effective.

High speed connections via wireless connections should be

investigated for reliability before considering
implementation.

High speed connections via satellite connections should be

investigated for reliability and delays before considering
implementation.

With a high speed internet connection is important that a

firewall, preferably a hardware based firewall be installed.

MarTech Systems, Inc. software application requirements on networks.

The below issues are relevant for peer to peer and client server networks.

A share must be defined on the network.

Users must have a mapped network drive to the share. The drive
letter designation must be consistent across all users.

Users must have full control/administrative access to the share.

Users must have full control/administrative access to the
