Continue to increase revenues through aggressive business-to-
business sales for five hotel properties in Knoxville including
Homewood Suites by Hilton, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by
Marriott, Spring Hill Suites by Marriott, and Towne Place suites by
Marriott. Generate new business by calling on 1000+ accounts in the
government, telecommunications, utilities, retail, food and new
construction industries with additional responsibility for University
of Tennessee account.
Sales Results:
* Increased sales volume with Siemens, #1 account in the area, by
25% since 2007 and secured 85% of all of Siemens corporate business
in 2009 despite a downturn in their corporate travel business.
* Secured the Humana Health Systems account in 2008 and increased
their sales volume by 600% to over 350 room nights booked each year
and established Humana as the #1 corporate account for the Courtyard
by Marriott.
* Secured 75% of the Alstom corporate account revenue which is
currently a top-five account with Homewood Suites by Hilton and
established them as a top 15 account with Courtyard by Marriott in
2010.
* Generated substantial sales growth with the AT&T account by
increasing the number of room nights per year 233% with the Residence
Inn by Marriott and Towne Place Suites by Marriott.
* Achieved a 200% increase with the General Electric account as the
top five account with Homewood Suites by Hilton and a top 10
corporate account with Courtyard by Marriott.
* Established Department of Energy as the #1 account at Spring Hill
Suites by Marriott and Residence Inn, and the #2 account at Towne
Place Suites by Marriott by converting the account from other
competitive Oak Ridge hotels.
* Increased room booking for large conference groups from Oak Ridge
National Laboratory from approximately 15% of their business in 2007
to 75% in 2010; selected as ORNL's "first choice" for hotel
reservations.
* Initiated contact with and developed the Department of Homeland
Security account as the #1 account for Towne Place Suites by Marriott
from July 2009 to 2010; secured large training group program
generating $400,000 in sales and pre-booked an additional 35 weeks of
room nights for 2011.
* Developed two new corporate accounts with Energy Solutions in
2008 which is now a top 5 account for Spring Hill Suites by Marriott
and Fluor in 2010 that is now a top 10 account for Residence Inn by
Marriott.
* Won two Excellent Service and Dedication Awards from the
Department of Homeland Security account.
