Lead Desktop Administrator
*Lead Desktop Management Systems Administrator for over 8,000 computer systems f
or Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRnet) as well as Secret I
nternet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet).
*Oversee five Computer Systems Analysts. Responsible for scheduling daily work,
and project delegation to analysts. Provide support and training as necessary to
newer analysts.
*Manage procurement, installation, operation, and maintenance of new equipment a
nd technologies in support of Network Enterprise Center (NEC) formally known as
the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM).
*Expand role of Desktop Management Team (DMT) which includes Imaging Services, s
ecuring, managing and updating the network infrastructure at the NEC.
*Lead troubleshooting effort for internal DMT issues. Lead efforts bringing mult
iple groups together for solutions to issues that cross groups and contracts.
*Oversee desktop configuration in support of NEC operations. Monitor network fo
r vulnerable systems to ensure compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerabili
ty Assessments (IAVA).
*Analyze, manage and perform work necessary to document, test, implement, integr
ate, maintain, and modify the government fleet of Information Technology (IT) sy
stems.
*Perform tasks using IT management tools and applications. Hourly review of sof
tware vendors and security websites for the latest vulnerability alerts.
*Work closely with Information Assurance (IA) to remediate boxes found to be vul
nerable.
*Implemented and maintain Host Based Security System (HBSS) remotely per Departm
ent of Defense (DoD) / Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) directive.
*Apply vendor-supplied software patches via Systems Management Server (SMS), Sys
tem Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
*Create/Edit Batch, Command, Visual Basic (VB) and PowerShell scripts.

/decline/review/test WSUS patches to comply with all IAVAs in accordance with es

d procedures; and integrated logistics support plans for new DOIM automated syst

h planning, integrating and executing NEC activities.

detected adware/spyware/viruses by leveraging Symantec Antivirus Management Ser
ver technology.
*Provide guidance and support for Tier I/II/III Helpdesk personnel; champion esc
alated tickets.
*Develop, build and maintain baseline computer Image for Fort Carson fleet of co
mputers by leveraging Microsoft technologies such as Windows Deployment Services
(WDS).
*Provide input, engineer, and test functionality of new images produced from Ima
ging Department.
*Serve as subject matter expert for all business operations pertaining to DMT.
*Support our government, active duty, and civilian customers, as well as the NCI
contract; upholding a secure, efficient and streamlined environment.
*Resolve escalated Remedy tickets in a timely manner. Track changes and assets v
