a After developing the first merchant power project in Central America while at
El Paso, was elected by the Board of Directors of the project company, to manage
this 50MW diesel fired plant located in Panama City, Panama. The General Manag
er most relevant responsibilities were O&M management and implementation, EPC wa
rranty implementation, managing scheduled and unscheduled maintenances, establis
hing the commercial strategy of the Company, comply with all project documents i
ncluding, among others, members agreement, loan agreement and management service
agreement and supervise all existing contracts including operations and managem
ent agreement, fuel supply agreement, account administrative agreement and power
purchase agreements. The main accomplishments while at this job was the succe
ssful negotiation of four power purchase agreements with the local utility, neig
hboring Costa Rica and an industrial complex.

process comprised of, among others, refinancing of debt near expiration, formul
ating new strategies for revenue maximization and in-depth market analysis of th
e respective markets where these plants are located in order to set the optimal
mix of contracted and spot energy sales.
