Lead UMTS Engineer for Louisiana and Southern Mississippi on Nokia infrastructur
e with WCDMA Flexi Node B equipment. Responsible for the System Performance of
UMTS network. Recommend, develop, and implement complex changes and additions t
o the UMTS system to achieve peak network performance. RF containment achieved
by downtilt changes on a sector by sector basis. Analyzed before and after drive
-test data with Actix to determine and measure downtilt affects and insure desir
ed results. UMTS optimization tasks include: Antenna selection, Azimuth & Downt
ilt changes, System Software Parameter Adjustments, & feature trials for capacit
y management. Responsible for capacity management including second carrier, Iub
, and channel element monitoring, expansion triggering, and coordinating the imp
lementation of these expansions as well. Designed new sites and system modifica
tions for coverage and capacity improvement. Issued search rings, prepared RF d
