power, and energy industries.
Vice President & General Manager, Energy Group: Lead
operations and P&L for the Geospatial and Conventional
Energy database business lines. Develop and implement
business plans to expand beyond GIS databases and
build a new broad-based energy information product
line that integrates other PennWell research and new
content. Negotiate vendor contracts and forge new
strategic partnerships.
* Reversed money losses in the 2nd year of a multi-
year plan by reengineering workflow procedures
to yield more frequent and more accurate database
updates, reworking existing product lines to focus on
higher-margin products and eliminate those that incur
losses, and rebuilding the team.
* Created and implemented a business plan to re-launch
the companyas MAPSearch print map product line which
should increase revenue 20%.
* Designed and launched a new client-management
process with an error-reporting database which
improved data accuracy and client retention rates
* Redesigned and executed a new project management
plan for a electric database build-out product that
was over budget and two years behind schedule, including
sourcing and negotiating contracts for Indian-based vendor.
