PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
NAVE, NEWELL, INC., King of Prussia, PA * December 2006 - February 2009
A Civil Engineering Consulting Firm, specializing in private sector land develop
ment projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Principal (2006-2009)
Managed corporate operations, business development strategy and quality control
for a multi-disciplined consulting firm of 45 + managers and technical employees
. Directed all operations, training, scheduling and quality control of the land
surveying department consisting of 15 + managers and employees. Established pr
ocedures for the scheduling of field and office work in conjunction with other d
epartments requirements, to ensure that all tasks were prioritized and successfu
lly completed within the scheduled timeframe. Wrote and developed technical pro
posals/budgets and negotiated contract fees, terms and conditions. Developed an
d initiated quality control standards for engineering plan preparation to ensure
design compliance and constructability.
Increased efficiency in technical proposal preparation to provide response with
in one business day for critical submissions.
Successfully deployed the firms latest technology, high definition laser scanni
ng (HDS), for specialty type uses (limited access) such as rail, transit and con
struction uses. Innovated the use of a 3 man crew to operate multiple survey in

in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties of PA, as well as NJ and DE.
Project Manager (2004-2006)
Managed all facets of the land development entitlement and permitting approval p
rocess for contracted properties. Successfully secured all necessary Municipal,
County, State Agency and Public Utility approvals
required to obtain lender financing for site improvements and construction. Clo
sely liaised with property owners, regulatory officials, municipal agents and fi
nancial representatives to facilitate the expedition of
project approvals and fulfillment of contract requirements. Directed the site i
nvestigation/evaluation to determine the feasibility of developing potential sit
es, while establishing the potential financial risk and critical issues that may
adversely impact the land development process. Wrote and negotiated service co
ntracts and fees with site contractors and professional consultants. Developed

construction.
Successfully obtained the necessary entitlements for the development of 290 sin
gle family residential lots.
Structured and streamlined the development of a due diligence checklist and tra
cking system to ensure that critical dates and project milestones were met. Uti
lizing my checklist, discovered a significant financial risk on an approved proj
ect for purchase in NJ that did not have all necessary approvals. The discovery
avoided a potential 25% increase in improvements fees on a multi-million dollar
purchase.
Strategically obtained the PADEP Act 537 Planning Module Approval for a 170 lot
subdivision, prior to the institution of a moratorium on sewage approvals. The
moratorium delayed other builders 12 to 24 months from receipt of approval.
Trained the site acquisition managers in yield analysis, due diligence process,
engineering oversight and construction improvements.
