This letter is to give you some background information, work ethics and a histor
y of my performance over the last 25 years. I have been in sales and finance si
nce 1981. All of which was in the automotive industry. I began my career in au
tomotive parts sales, retail and outside wholesale sales.
Then I began a career with Stevinson Toyota Inc. as a new vehicle sales represen
tative in 1983. Even as a beginner I was always one of the top three performers
with a high rate of repeat and referral business.
In 1987 because of my sales record I was noticed by a Sales Manager at Douglas T
oyota Inc. who offered me a position as a Sales / Lease Manager. During that ti
me I always had the best closing ratios and top profitability in the dealership.
After a period of time I was promoted to Finance Manager and then Sales Manage
r.
In 1993 Stevinson Chevrolet Inc. decided they would like to have me back. They
offered me a position as a Finance Manager with an opportunity to increase my in
come substantially. I accepted and decided to stay there until Oct. 4th 2010 wh
en I decided to resign and pursue a new career.
The reason I feel this would be a logical and advantageous next step in my caree
r is because all throughout my time in the automobile industry I always felt the
need to help people in ways I could not really help them as a Finance Manager f
or a large dealership.
During my employment with Stevinson Chevrolet Inc. my net profitability was betw
een $80,000 and $120,000 per month depending on the number of vehicles sold. I
reached these numbers by establishing high penetration levels and very good prof
itability averages on all of the products that were offered in my office.
My other responsibilities included credit interviews, at which time I would disc
uss customers credit scores, debt ratios, spending habits and of course the reas
ons for any derogatory pay histories appearing on any of the three credit bureau
s. All of this was done while maintaining a good relationship with the customer
. That leads me to the next point. I have always had above average C.S.I., cus
tomer satisfaction index.
Then after the customer contact, it was time to place the loan with a lending in
stitution that would be profitable to the dealership, and do so in a manner that
was satisfactory to the customer so they would not turn around and refinance.
My charge backs through these lending institutions were always below average. I
also had to maintain a lender portfolio that would balance, and keep me in good
standings with my buyers.
So, as you can see, because of my extensive finance, sales and loan management e
xperience, I believe that if given the opportunity I would be an excellent addit
ion to your team. I am very much looking forward to meeting with you and discu
