Outside sales--- Fifteen years--- Duties included working a designated area to m
aintain and procure new accounts. Making contacts, qualifying contacts, setting
up equipment demonstrations, renting, leasing and sales of equipment. Responsi
ble for utilization of rental fleet, implementing a partnering program and holdi
ng responsibility for key accounts we brought into the business. Implement and d
eliver safety training programs to our customer base. Responsible for implementi
ng and conducting classroom and hands on safety training for customer base on Bo
omlifts, Forklifts, scissorlifts. Record keeping for ANSI and OSHA requirements.
Numerous year to year sales awards and outstanding team contributions.
Sales Manager--- Five years--- Responsible for fifteen salespeople in Oregon and
SW Washington. Responsibilities include: forecasting, Implementing goals & rewa
rd programs, riding with and training of sales people in their respective territ
ories, handling key accounts for our company from previous years of outside sale
s. Managing weekly sales/safety meetings, hiring and dismissing of salespeople.
Involved with V.P. of operations on programs and results of sales team.
District Manager--- Six years--- Responsible for twelve branches in Oregon and S
W Washington. Duties included managing a $25-30 million dollar a year budget fo
r region. Forecasting and presenting budgets for twelve branches. Managing all
aspects of equipment procurement, depletion, additions, sales, leasing, renting
for assigned territory with a fleet value of $50 million plus. Hiring and dismi
ssing of employees in assigned areas. Motivating branch managers on a daily/wee
kly/monthly basis to promote sales/safety and grow their business. Work closely
with corporate personnel (South Carolina) on HR, Salaries, Branch Audits, Invent
ory control, safety programs. Conducted branch safety audits on drivers, shop fa
cilities and jobsites. Worked closely with Regional safety manager to ensure pol
icies and procedures were being adhered too. Worked closely with V.P. of Wester
n region (seven states) to ensure proper implementation of programs were followe
d and quotas met.
