Duties: As fuel handler, I was responsible for operating fuel-handling equipment
according to military operations and procedures and manuals. I operated in a sa
fe manner at all times and in accordance with the safety operating procedures. I
also serviced fuel handling equipment on a daily basis, which included; JP8, Je
t fuel and diesel levels and made sure levels were full at all times. Also as a
fuel handler, I inspected equipment for cracks, bad levels and fuel lines. I cle
aned equipment daily inside and out. I was responsible for reporting any defects
or malfunctions of the equipment to the motor pool. I reported any hot spots in
fuel inventory to my first line supervisor. I also filled in on shifts as direc
ted my first line supervisor.
The last eight months of my military career, I serviced as a medical office cler
k. My duties included, verifying, typing, and filing medical records for hospita
l or other health care facilities. I prepared folders and maintained records of
newly admitted patients. I reviewed medical records for completeness, assembled
records into standard order, and filied records in designated areas according to
applicable alphabetic and numeric filing system. As a medical clerk, I located,
signed out, and delivered medical records requested by hospital departments. I
compiled statistical data, such as admissions and discharges. I operated compute
rs to enter and retrieve data for reports. I assisted other workers with coding
of records.

My work history includes six years as motor vehicle operator for the US Army and
over one year in mail distribution for a government agency. This experience has
prepared me to be an outstanding Motor Vehicle Operator/Postal Clerk by providi
ng the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
1. Knowledge of postal regulations/standards; operation of motor vehicles; work
practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order); defensive driving
techniques; cargo loading (such as using appropriate tie-downs such as chains,
binders, or straps for transit on public roads); recognition of developing maint
enance problems when conducting an operators inspection of their assigned vehicl
es.
2. Skills to do the work of Motor Vehicle Operator/Postal Clerk without more tha
n normal supervision, such as ability to interpret instructions and specificatio
ns; safely drive a motor vehicle dependably and reliably (manipulating controls
for starting, stopping, backing, and driving in all types of traffic and road co
nditions); read and understand a road map, and to determine the shortest and saf
est route for both short and long runs; recognize developing hazardous road and
traffic conditions and to select alternate routes to avoid potential problems.
3. Physical ability to accomplish long periods of standing, walking, bending, re
curring lifting and carrying of packages, bags, etc; lifting and handling object
s and tilled mail bags, bulk quantities of forms and publications weighing appro
ximately 70 pounds and must physically able to push a loaded container (up to 12
00 pounds). Able to climb at least three flights of stairs with mail.
I possess a current USAREUR Class 3 driver license and TMP operator license. I a
