Materials Manager - SPARC Operations

Sun was a Fortune 500 supplier of network computing products, software, and serv
ices. Responsible to manage all aspects of the SPARC Microprocessor IC supply c
hain. Scope of responsibility included purchasing, supply and demand analysis,
inventory control, staff management and contract manufacturing liabilities. Impl
emented Supplier Co-Planning software tool (i2 system) to establish link between
Sun, IC manufacturer and CM to share online supply/demand requirements.
Supplier Manager - Asia Pacific Operations and Logistics

Established uniform and comprehensive operational procedures for Warehouse, Tran
sportation, OEM/CM, Repair suppliers, RMA, and to supervise Asian based supplier
program managers. Responsibilities encompassed cost reduction, lead time reduc
tion, FRU planning/forecasting, spares inventory, EOL, SLA, 3PL management, cust
omer satisfaction, supplier selection, Field Service support, contract developme

a presence and sold Microprocessor IC's into the Japanese market. Established
the framework for a liaison position to coordinate communications between corpor
ate headquarters, the Japan sales office and major Japanese customers, as well a
