 1 1/4 cup of milk
 1/2 cup of unsweetened strawberries  (frozen or fresh)
 2 tbs. honey
 6 ice cubes
 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional)
Garnish
 whipped topping
 chocolate syrup
 maraschino cherries
Preparation
Combine bananas, pineapple, milk, strawberries and honey in a blender. Blend until smooth, no lumps. Start
adding ice slowly and blending until slushy. Pour into large glasses, preferably chilled then garnish with whipped
topping, chocolate syrup, and maraschino cherries. The perfect banana split in a glass.

Strawberry Lemon Zing Smoothie Recipe

January 15, 2011 · Filed Under Strawberry Smoothies · 4 Comments

Okay, this smoothie may not be for everyone, but I was craving a taste of summer. It is 33 degrees today in the
good old city of Richmond, VA and I’m feeling the strong desire for warmer weather. Lemonade stirs memories of
warmer times so I felt strawberry smoothiewith the zing of lemon was a good choice. Let me know if this
smoothie made your day, cold or not.
Ingredients:
 2 cups lemonade
 2 cups frozen strawberries
 1 cup strawberry yogurt
Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender. Add all frozen ingredients. Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then
blend at SMOOTH setting until smooth. While the machine is running, move the stir stick around counter-
clockwise to aid mixing. Serve immediately. Each recipe serves 2, in my opinion, your serving sizes may vary.

Okay, I realize creamy and blackberry don’t usually go together but that is what smoothieweb.com is all about,
mixing flavors and textures that don’t always come to mind. This blackberry smoothie is worth the risk. Let me
know how you like it.
Ingredients:
 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream (a good start, yes?)
 1 1/2 cups of frozen blackberries
 1/2 cup of strawberries
 1 cup milk
 1/2 tsp lime juice (for a tart kick)
 dollop of whipped cream
Blend until you can’t wait and then add the whipped cream.

Strawberry Smoothie with a Sweet Twist

December 5, 2009 · Filed Under Strawberry Smoothies · 3 Comments

Sometimes naming a smoothie can be difficult. I mean you can only come up with so many smoothies with
“surprise” or “delight” in the name. But strawberry smoothies are especially difficult because there are so many
variations. So this recipe has a little bit of everything (the twist) and ice cream + honey (the sweet). The inexact
science of naming smoothie recipes.
Ingredients:
 4 strawberries
 1 banana
 Half mango
 Half pineapple
 2 scoops Ice-cream
 1 cup of Orange Juice
 1 teaspoon of honey
Preparation:
Chop strawberries in half. Chop banana in 4 pieces. Chop mango and pineapple in 4 pieces (8 in total.) 2 scoops
of ice-cream and put in blender. Pour orange juice in blender. Add the teaspoon of honey. Put all ingrediants in
blender and blend until smooth. Pour in glass and enjoy!

Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Thank you to Sonny Martin for this delicious smoothie recipe. Inviting too many fruits to thesmoothie party can
sometimes be a problem, but this mix of fruits works very well. Don’t leave out the coconut cream, it really
changes the flavor.
 ½ can pineapple in its own juice, including juice
 1 cup of Papaya, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
 1 mango, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
 1 ripe banana, peeled and broken into chunks
 2-3 tablespoons coconut cream (not milk)
 2-3 tablespoons honey
 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 1 to 1½ cup plain yogurt (we prefer Mountain High brand)
 1 to 1 ½ cup crushed ice
Blend all ingredients, except ice, in blender first set at medium and then at high. When smooth continue blending
while pouring in 1 to 1½ cups crushed ice. Serves 4 to 6.

Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie

July 26, 2008 · Filed Under Banana Smoothies, Protein Smoothie · 8 Comments

This is a recipe that I use when its one of those hot days and im to lazy to make anything and I can’t think of
anything cold to eat.
Ingredients:
 4-5 apple bananas (2-2 1/2 regular banana)
 4 spoonfuls of peanut butter (creamy preferred) (or 2 spoonfuls if you have a big spoon)
 1 can of sprite
 7-15 pieces of ice (depending on how thick you want your smoothie)
You mix together the bananas, peanut butter, and sprite first.  then when that is fully blended together you add in
the ice.  I like my smoothies more on the liquidy side so I put in less ice so its still smooth but you also have that
crunch.

Strawberry Smoothie with Dates

A strawberry smoothie with a surprise of sweetness, dates! The almonds add a nice unexpected flavor as well,
but I will never underestimate the humble date again. What do you think about this slightly unusual strawberry
smoothie?
Ingredients:
 ½ cup strawberries
 ¼ cup almonds, soaked
 3 dates, pitted and soaked
 1 cup water
Soak the almonds and the dates separately (for at least several hours), then rinse. Put all ingredients into a
blender and blend until smooth.

Blackberry Smoothie with a Twist

February 22, 2009 · Filed Under Dessert Smoothies, Fruit Smoothies, Strawberry Smoothies · 2 Comments

Blackberries pack a punch of antioxidants and this blackberry smoothie will keep piling on the healthy nutritional
value with loads of other great, healthy ingredients. Yeah, yeah, it has ice cream too, but you can swap out non-
fat vanilla yogurt if you like.
Ingredients:
 1 cup frozen blackberries
 2 cups ice cream (vanilla will do nicely)
 1 cup frozen strawberries
 1 cup 1% milk
 1/2 teaspoon of lime juice
I would like to try this with 2% milk as well or even using lemon instead of lime. So please leave a comment if you
try this and let us know what you think of your smoothie tweaks.
