About MV2000

MOBILE VIDEO 2000 (MV2000) broadcast digital TV quality, DVB-T using COFDM, non
line-of-sight transmission. The combination of the DVB-T modulation with low latency MPEG2
video compression and higher data rates enable the pictures be displayed without any visible
interference, noise or color variation. This also means that full camera controls at high-speed
motion are made possible.

MV2000 DVB-T incorporates the latest technology used in the future 3G mobile
communications. This system uses the latest form of orthogonal frequency division
multiplexing to achieve superb picture quality even in complex environments. Below are
various applications of our MV2000 mobile wireless video systems.

Four major models of Transmission Applications:

1. Man to Vehicle (Command Center).
2. Vehicle to Vehicle (Command Center).
3. Vehicle (Command Center) to HQ Command Center.
4. Citywide Network (Multi-Channel TV).

Transmission System Configuration

A. Transmitter:
MV2000 transmitter refers to the transmitting station of the system. This includes the following
basic system components:

1. Camera (CCTV, DV, professional).

2. Pan/Tilt head (controls movement of camera, left, right, up, down)
3. P/T Telemetry receiver (decoder for the P/T head).
4. MV2000 Transmitter.
5. Antennae

B. Receiving Station:
Receiving station refers to the receiver
part of the MV2000:

1. MV2000 Receiver.
2. Antennae.
3. Frequency filter.

C. Transmission Terminology:
Transmission terminology for extended transmission range, the following are brief information
on our transmission systems:
1. Microwave transmission => uses fixed microwave transmission.
2. Fiber optic transmission => fiber network transmission.
3. Network transmission => use IP network transmission, example: cable modem, ADSL,
WAN etc.
4. Mobile transmission => use another set of MV2000 transmission.

Applications

Following are application setup for MV2000 wireless transmission systems:

A. Point-To- Point
Pont-to-point MV2000 transmission system uses one transmitter and one receiver, this is the
most common application of MV2000.

Fig 5: Point-to-point transmission system

B. Point-To- Multipoint
There are two major classification in point-to-multipoint transmission:

1. Single transmitter with multi-receivers. This is an expansion of the earlier point-to-point

transmission, because one transmitter is used, and multi-receivers with the same
frequency band are used. This is excellent low cost transmission very similar to a mini
television broadcasting station, the transmitter can be transportable to another
location without much difficulty. For greater distance of transmission., repeaters can
be added as and when necessary.

2. Multi-transmitters to single receiver. Using this model, needs different frequency

division, the receivers can receive all transmission.

Fig 7: Multi-Transmitter to Single Receiver

9
C. Multipoint-To-Multipoint
This is more complex and higher cost transmission system, multi transmitters to multi-receivers.
Multi-transmitters using different frequency band division, the more the transmitters, requires
much more different frequency bands, and more receivers with the corresponding frequency
division, thus enable a city wide broadcasting and receiving network., best suitable for multi-sites
or multi departments broadcasting and receiving, example in emergency Command Center for
evacuations.

Application Procedures

A. Man-To-Vehicle
MV2000 transmitter can be hand-carried or install as a backpack of the personnel example soldier,
civil defense, searcher or a police officer. Mobile transmitter deliver crisp clear pictures back to
the vehicle Command Center or to local collecting points where the signals can be relayed on to
the HQ Command Center. This application has limitation due to the supply power and the antenna
height,on the same ground level in urban areas with obstacles transmission can reach more than 1
KM. Under no obstruction easily up to 5 KM.

Fig 9: Backpack transmitter to vehicle Command Center

B. Vehicle-To-Vehicle
This application usually meant for police or military use. Since the transmitter is installed in the
vehicle, constant supply voltage is not a problem, more powerful transmission is possible, hence
increases the distance of transmission, under no obstruction, on same ground level, can reach up to
5 KM between vehicles, under obstructed condition no less than 2 KM.
Mobile receiving antenna can be retractable or install higher for clearer and further reception, the
higher the antenna, the longer the distance achieve. Best suitable for such antenna to be install in
bigger vehicle.

C. Vehicle-to-Command Center
Transmitter installed in the vehicle, with the receiving station in the building (Command
Center),the receiving antenna is recommended to be install as high as possible for better reception,
This greatly increased the receiving range. If the receiving antenna is installed at 100M,under
obstructed condition, MV2000 transmission range can reach 5 10KM. If installed at 200M,under
obstructed condition easily reach up to 20Kmor more, and in no obstruction condition up to 30Km
70Km.Vehicle to building (Command Center) is most suitable for police applications in large
city.

D. Citywide Network Roaming coverage

Citywide networks is a combination of point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint
transmission as mentioned earlier, suitable for big or large city, following will be an example of
point-to-multipoint, and multipoint-to-multipoint city-wide wireless network.
An example of police department using MV2000 wireless crisp clear, high resolution real time
picture for transmission, from the Command Center, receiving real-time pictures from affected
areas or ongoing emergency evacuation, let commanding officers see and response to the real-time
events .within a city limit of 30 KM by 10 KM In this example, we use a modernized city with
many high skyscrapers, congested population, effective coverage of up to 70 ,and for city
center areas up to 90 coverage.

Refer to Fig12, first, we need to locate the central location, according to the city buildings
topography, radius of between 2 5 KM into 6 different zones, between high rise commercial
buildings the estimate coverage of 3 KM, residential or low-rise areas coverage up to 5 KM, 6
different zones with 6 receiving station preferably with omni directional antenna, receiving
pictures via 3-channel of 2M bandwidth, using a video server ,the other 3-channel will use our
AC-460 microwave transmission system to send to the building Command Center. When the
vehicle (Command Center) reaches A zone, the building Command Center within 4KM radius will
receive signal directly, the A zone base station will at the same time receive signal from the
vehicle. When the vehicle reaches F zone, which is out of building Command Center range, F
zone Base Station receives signal from the vehicle and relay the signal via 2M bandwidth to
building Command Center. In this case, wherever the vehicle travel within the city will be
covered.
