The TV1 program aired on Friday evening clearly showed the biased and antiminority stance of the ruling

class politicians in the country is still very much alive and well. The views, opinions and even allegations made by the speakers were clearly aimed at fomenting dissatisfaction and ill will in Penang, to be channelled against the minority community there, especially its leaders. The current administration in Penang can be described as competent enough to easily put any other state administration in the shade. Yet the island has been highly ostracised by the federal authorities starting March 2008. Not only that, it has been the object of very malicious slander and unfair criticism by the ruling class. Its chief minister has been the big target of several illegal demonstrations carefully orchestrated by politicians allied to the big shots and aimed at stirring up feelings of hatred and anger against the minority community. The minority community in the country has long been ridiculed and unceasingly demonised ever since the day the nation obtained independence over fifty years ago. In the program, the speakers accused the islands leadership of being paranoid, wasteful, vindictive and not living up to alleged promises. All such accusations are not only totally baseless, they greatly betray the timelessly evil nature of the sham political system practised in the country. When the minority community is supportive of the ruling class, its presence is (just barely) tolerated. However, if that support is no longer available, or withdrawn, then it is time to bring out the knife and the chopping board. The national media has been particularly quick in this type of actions. The ruling class politicians should walk the talk instead of hurling verbal abuse at the minority community in the island, or in the rest of the nation. The recent foreign workers unrest in Nilai where several hundred men armed with weapons fought each other should serve as a wake-up call to the nations leaders to check themselves and take a closer look at whats wrong. Such unrests are not new or infrequent. Last August, 5,000 foreign workers went on a rampage in Tebrau. Is the current situation a shattering, or shining reflection of the economic model that is being trumpeted to the world and is this economic model the big reason why the nations youths are highly involved in shady activities and also why the WB recently released a report that over a million highly talented individuals are working overseas thus exacerbating or contributing to the brain drain and foreign investment issues now afflicting the nation. Dont let the blind lead the blind !
