Now fold the short corner of the kite up. Then fold the lower corners of the triangle onto the centerline:
Next fold the lower edge up...then fold it back down. Then fold the top corner down as shown.
Now fold each of the four corners into the center point, to make another square. Next fold two of the squares edges onto the centerline:
Next fold the triangle in half to make a smaller triangle. Then fold one corner upwards to make the first butterfly wing. Turn the frog over and it's ready to go. You can decorate it with pens or markers if you like.
Origami Butterfly
Start with a square of paper. If it is colored paper, put the colored side face down on the table as shown below. Then fold along the diagonal to give a triangle.
Then fold the second wing upwards. Now open the butterfly out as shown, and it's done!
By gently pressing up and down on the body of the butterfly, as shown below, the wings will flap up and down.
Origami Elephant
Step 1: Start with a square origami paper color side down.
Step 4: Now, you will fold the top left corner at an angle to meet the center crease.
Step 5: Fold the paper in half - bring the top edge down to meet the bottom edge.
Step 8: Make a squash fold. Step 6: Now fold the left side to meet the center crease:
Origami Dog
Step 1: Start with a square origami paper color side down.
Step 9: OK, you can either stop here and draw in the eyes or continue to Step 10. Step 2: Make a fold on the diagonal, bringing the top right corner to meet the bottom left corner.
Step 3: Make a fold on the dash line shown below. Crease well.
Step 5: Now we need to concentrate on the "tail" end. We need to make 2 folds at approximately the dash lines shown below. Crease well.
Step 6: If you noticed in Step 5, one of the lines was represented by "-.-." meaning that it should be a mountain fold. A mountain fold is when the crease is at the top. So pinch the paper at the crease so that the crease is upward as shown by the photo below.
Step 7: The other crease should be a valley fold so pinch the paper at the crease so that the crease is downward. Once you do that, the paper just moves very naturally into an inverse reverse fold which is what we're aiming to do.
Now we just have to attach the head to the body with double-sided tape or glue.
Step 2: Now fold the corners together and unfold, to give a crease as shown. Then fold the dog ears down, using the crease line as a guide.
Origami Dog Step 3: Next fold the top and bottom of the head, away from you. The dog is done! If you like, you can draw eyes, a nose and a mouth.
