CONSTITUTIONAL GUIDELINES PREAMBLE

We the members of the De La Salle Outdoor ClubCanlubang, swear to develop ourselves as dynamic and progressive members of our community by promoting environmental awareness, environment-friendly and healthy lifestyles, and disaster preparedness, by engaging in outdoor activities and skills-acquisition..

ARTICLE I. Name
Section 1. Exact Title/Name of the Organization DE LA SALLE OUTDOOR CLUB-CANLUBANG Section2. Other Title/Name of the Organization De La Salle OCC

ARTICLE II. Purpose


Section 1. To promote students welfare, good health, disaster response and environmental awareness through Outdoor Adventure Activities that are

founded on the Experiential Learning Model; i.e., the best way to learn is to have a direct experience with your environment.

Section2. The organization will adhere with the policies of the College Students

Affair as a recognized student organization of DLS-Canlubang and will come up with programs and activities that complement the academic learning of student

ARTICLE III. Membership


Section 1. Membership Members of the De La Salle OCC shall be student/alumni of De La Salle-Canlubang Section 2. Rights of Members Members shall have the following Rights: a. To exercise to vote on all matters relating to the affairs of the organization; b. To be eligible to any elective or appointive office of the organization; c. To avail of all equipment and facilities of the organization; Section3. Duties and Responsibilities of the members- Members shall have the following Duties and Responsibilities: a. To obey and comply with the by-laws, rules and regulations that may be promulgated by the organization from time to time; b. To attend all meetings that may be called by the organizations officers; c. To pay membership dues and other assessment of the organization. Section 4. Suspension, Expulsion and Termination of Membership Suspension, expulsion and termination of membership, shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations of the organization. Any member of the organization may file charges against a member by filing a written complaint with the president and shall call a special meeting of the officers to consider the charges. The affirmative 1/3 of all the members of the organization shall be necessary to suspend a member; Provided that where the penalty of expulsion, the affirmative vote of 2/3 of all the members shall be necessary to expel a member. Section 5. Voluntary Withdrawal of Membership a. Members can file his/her voluntary withdrawal from the organization by writing to the president of the organization and stating the reason/s for the withdrawal

ARTICLE IV. Officers

Section 1. Officers The officers of the organization shall compose of seven (7) members and a full-time student of DLS-C upon election. They shall be elected by the general membership of the organization.

ARTICLE V. Operations
Section 1. Title of the Officers : a. b. c. d. e. f. g. President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Auditor Education & Training Officer Physical Fitness Office

Section3. Terms of Office of Officers All Officers of the Organization shall hold office for one year (3 DLS-C School Terms) and until their successors are duly elected and qualified. Voting will be secret balloting , election will be conducted every 3rd or 4th week of the 1st term of every Academic Year. Section 3. Functions & Powers of Officers a. PRESIDENT - Shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the organization. In addition to his duties as such. He shall preside in all meetings of the officers and general member s of the organization. b. VICE-PRESIDENT Shall exercise all powers and performs all duties of the president during his absence or incapacity of the later and shall perform other duties that maybe assigned. c. SECRETARY Shall give notices required by the organization, keeps the records of minutes of the meetings of the organization kept in a book or record for the purpose. Keeps custody of the correspondence files and all other papers, maintain the members register , have charge of the bulletin board and shall perform other duties that maybe assigned.

d. TREASURER Shall have charge of the funds, receipts and disbursement o f the organization. Keeps all moneys and other valuables in such bank/s as designated by the officers, keeps and have charge of the books of accounts which shall be open to inspection by any members, whenever required , an account of financial condition of the organization and all transaction made by him/her as treasurer. Perform other duties that maybe assigned. e. AUDITOR Shall examine financial records and audit money and equipment /facilities of the organization, perform other duties that maybe assigned. f. EDUCATION & TRAINING OFFICER Shall be in charge of the training and education of all members of the organization. This officer shall develop training manuals, programs and activities. Shall perform other duties that maybe assigned. g. PHYSICAL FITNESS OFFICER Shall create physical fitness and development programs that all members of the organization shall go through prior to major activities. Shall perform other duties that maybe assigned.

Section 4. Vacancies of Position a. President Election within the remaining Officers of the organization; b. Vice-President down the line To be appointed by the President.

ARTICLE VI. Finances


Section 1. Internal Fund Sourcing a. Application Fees funds shall derived from a minimal amount of application fee will be charge to all applicants of the organization; b. Membership Due every member of the organization, who will be inducted as member De La Salle Outdoor Club-Canlubang will pay a annual membership fee in addition to dues and/or assessment that may be imposed by the organization from time to time. c. Funding through the University if applicable. Section2. External Fund Sourcing

a. Donation from DLS-C Alumni Association b. Environmental Organization c. Others Section2. Compliance with DLS-C financial Policies the Organization will comply with all financial policies as mandated by the DLS-C accounting office.

ARTICLE VII. Amendments


Section 1. Amendments - These by-laws, or any provision thereof, may be amended or repealed by a majority vote of the general membership at any regular or special meeting duly held for the purpose.
