DURATION: 1 DAY COURSE DESCRIPTION: This workshop provides a detailed system overview, and you will also learn to install and configure the Embedded Firewall, a solution typically deployed in environments where security is mission critical. COURSE CONTENT: During this course you will learn to understand the benefits and features of 3Com Embedded Firewall. You will learn how to install, configure and deploy these switches. DURATION: 1 DAY COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will give network engineers and administrators an overview of network management in general (SNMP, RMON), and 3Com Network Management products (3Com Network Supervisor and 3Com Network Director) in particular. The course includes hands-on exercises that will guide students through installing, configuring, and using the management application. 3COM NETWORK SUPERVISOR TECHNICAL WORKSHOP

DURATION: 1 DAY COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Workshop is targeted at 3Com partners and customers who want to use the 3Com Network Supervisor software application to manage networks. After following this course, you will know how to efficiently use 3NS to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot your network. COURSE CONTENT: The course consists of two parts. The first part covers theory on Network Management Protocols and provides an overview of the 3Com Network Supervisor features and functionality. The second part comprises hands-on exercises, covering installation, configuration and deployment of 3Com Network Supervisor. PREREQUISITES: Attendees should have a basic understanding of networking technologies such as; Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs and switching.

XRN technologies will be discussed along with the redundant capabilities of each of the switches. Step-by-step labs will guide the students through some of the most useful configurations on these switches. Students will configure ports and aggregate links, VLANs, RIP and OSPF routing, VRRP, XRN, ACLs and QOS, Multicast, RADIUS and 802.1X and Multiple Spanning Tree instances. You will learn to add new functionality to the Enterprise Management Suite Software by creating and modifying Python scripts, CLI scripts and XML files.
