Fixes for Known Faults

The following issues in previous software versions have been fixed in this release: 802.11g and Super G modes are unavailable when country is set to Czech Republic. If the Access Point is part of a wireless distribution system (WDS) as a client/repeater and the master access point is powered off or is disconnected from the WDS, the Access Point reboots automatically. If you enable Universal Access Method (UAM) authentication on the Access Point when at least two VLANs exist, the UAM logon page does not appear. The private Management Information Base (MIB) file that is included in previous software releases uses non-3Com standard root object identifiers (OIDs). The root OIDs in this version have been updated to conform to 3Com standards. If you use an MIB browser to configure the Access Point, you need to load the new MIB file (3crgpoe10075.mib) to your MIB browser.

Upgrading to This Software Version

To install this software version, please follow the upgrade instructions in the OfficeConnect Wireless 108Mbps 11g PoE Access Point User Guide (part number DUAPOE10075BAA02). To use WPA2 after the upgrade, you must reset the Access Point settings to factory defaults. Refer to the User Guide for instructions on how to do this. CAUTION: Resetting the Access Point to factory defaults will erase all settings you have configured. If you want to preserve your current settings:
1 Back up your settings before upgrading to this

When the Access Point is set to client/repeater or bridge (either PTP or PTMP) mode, Dynamic Super 802.11g (108Mbps) mode is unavailable. When the Access Point is set to client/repeater or bridge (either PTP or PTMP) mode, isolation options on the Security Profile screen are not available. If you have wireless stations that are using 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless 108Mbps 11g XJACK PC Card (3CRXJK10075) and you want to use WPA-PSK with multiple SSIDs, you need to download the latest software for the PC card from 3Com Web site at www.3com.com. When establishing a WDS link to 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless 11g Cable/DSL Router (3CRWE554G72T), you can only use bridge mode (either PTP or PTMP) with WEP or no security. When using Conexant-based cards (for example, 3CRWE154G72, 3CRWE254G72, and Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG) on the wireless stations, you must use the same wireless security settings for all enabled SSIDs on the Access Point. When you manually start rogue AP detection, all wireless stations that are associated with the Access Point will be disconnected. Connection will automatically be re-established after rogue AP detection is completed.
