The Stupidity Factor The Republican Agenda First and foremost, I seriously doubt very much if the Republican

n agenda will help anyone. The agenda that they have forcefully injected through the Bush years was simply set to destroy the economy, make more foreign enemies. The domestic agenda for the Republican Party is very clear. They want to repeal health care, child labor laws, collective bargaining rights of all unions, give tax cuts to the very rich, make it harder to register to vote and privatize Medicare and Social Security. They talk a good game, yet it is for their benefit and has nothing to do with securing our country, creating jobs, helping those who cannot help themselves. They are systematically implementing the destruction of the middle class to increase the divide between those who have much and those who have very little. The Republican agenda is to make women subservient. They talk about big government yet; they eliminate Family planning, and make abortion just about illegal. That is not the American way; it is legislating morality. Funny, this party wants smaller government. They place their laws in your own bedroom and in the doctors office. They believe that women, who are raped and become pregnant, should just go ahead and have the baby anyway. It doesnt matter to them if the woman who was raped is child of eleven years old or fifty. They will also expect the victim to pick up all the expenses related to having the child. Republicans are taking away a womans right to chose. In addition to that Republicans are also eliminating all other health care tests that women desperately need, throwing the baby out with the bath water. By the way, they are also coming after birth control. Republican budget solutions are crazy. They believe that they can grow an economy without revenue. Cutting expenses is not wrong, but not increasing government revenue is suicide. Have you ever heard of any company, community or family that will purposely not increase their income or reduce their income in order to meet their obligations? That is totally whacked! The truth is that taxes are in a fifty year low. The solution is to cut taxes even further on the rich while making the poor pay more. Republicans do this by simply removing all supportive programs from those who desperately need them. To the Republicans it is an agenda of fend for yourself. If one looks, at most of the Republican Governors who were elected in the 2008, they ran on different platforms yet never revealed what they truly were going to do. It is what the Republicans do best, lie, deceit and conceal. Most of them, you can research this yourself, passed anti-abortion laws, tax cuts for corporations and repealed collective bargaining rights for public unions. Presently there are Governors such Paul La Page, who removed a Labor Mural as he felt it was offensive to his corporate sponsors. Really? He is also toying with the idea of repealing certain child labor laws, allowing them to work longer hours at reduced wages, so that corporations can take advantage of cheap labor. Are we a third world country yet? How about Governor Rick Scott of Florida, he passed a law, which mandates drug testing of Welfare recipients, here is the catch, he is the co-founder of the company authorized to conduct these test, of which the recipients must pay for on their own. Can

you say collusion? He promises to refund the fee if they are clean. This is how he is going to streamline government, by putting government in your home with inspection before the fact. I dont know about you, but if you are on welfare, where do you get the money to take such a test? To top it all off Rick Scott admitted to 14 counts of Medicare fraud. The fraud ripped off the American Public for over 1.7 billion dollars. Why hasnt he been recalled? Why hasnt the Republican Party chastised him on this deal? Double standard, what criminality a Republican pulls off, it becomes a non-issue and they try to bury this as fast as possible. Where is the Republican Agenda on getting and creating jobs right here in America? Absolutely, nowhere is the correct answer. My friends, it is just all smoke and mirrors, the Republican Party is draping itself with the American Flag, while taking a bat to Main Street. If you followed Governor Walker in Wisconsin, the first thing he did was to cut taxes on corporations, then stripped away collective bargaining rights from public unions, even though the unions supported all the financial cuts that Walker asked for. Walkers solution to his budget problem was to give the rich more money and take money from tax paying employees, not to mention cutting health care, education and putting teachers out of work. The result is more of a budget deficit. Another point to make here is the passing of laws that will mandate government Identifications for anyone registering to vote. This is by far even more of an overreach and blocking technique to prevent democratic voters from voting. Not everyone has a drivers license or government ID card. Here we go again; there are almost no voter fraud cases in all of the 50 states. In matter of fact, there have been very few cases actually tried or discovered. In other words more big government oversight on a nonissue created to the advantage of those who have more over those who have less. Republican ideology is Greed and Self Interest. One more thing, Since Barack Obama took the presidency, Republicans immediately challenge his birthplace, allegiance, policies, demonized him, ridiculed and attempted to defeat every idea or action that he wanted to take. I will call it for what it is extreme bigotry. This is one of the most racist, hate filled elitist organizations ever allowed to exist in America today. Republican Party has taken the color of the enemy; they are not there to help anyone except for what lines their pockets. This economy was created in a major way by the Republican Party. This does not absolve the Democrats that went along with some of this nonsense. Both parties are responsible. Let us face the truth; the Republicans will not do anything to heal America. The Republican Party has only one focus here, that is, to make Obama a one-term president. If they can clear the presidency and the senate, then they can become richer than they already are. This is how I see it on the ground. It is my opinion based off the actions of those who seek to destroy the American dream. This is also not to say all Republicans have adapted this agenda of hate and destruction, there are those who want to work things out, the right way. Yet they are being threatened and bullied by insiders and fringe elements, they are too weak to stand up for what is right.

We can grow our economy, create jobs and balance our deficits in responsible ways. We can fix it all. However, we have to take the crazy out of the formula. I can see right through this agenda. It has nothing to do with creating any type of prosperity. They are relying on average Americans to be stupid. The Republicans have blocked the funding of financial regulations, so that what got us into this mess will stay in place, so that they can blame the President for our current situation. Some Republican this week broke with the party line by voting for the end of subsidies for Ethanol, good for them. Now, we need to strip off the oil subsidies, and raise taxes on the rich. We have to have some real job creation policy put into place. With good jobs and training for new jobs, we can get out of this mess. We also have to lower our military footprint from the Middle East and in other countries. The military budget is bigger than any budget of all other countries. Grover Norquist a conservative activist, who has never governed an elected office, has gotten a lot of Republican to pledge never to raise taxes. This Norquist seems to be telling elected officials how to run government only due for his disdain for government overall. Serious Republicans know that by starving the US government by lowering revenues will only weaken it further. Republicans talk about shared sacrifice and some Democrats in office have push this line. Well, how about the US congress and Senate reduce the wages by 20% and pay for their own health coverage. When they do that, then they are serious about Shared Sacrifice. Republicans seem to favor oligarchy and call it freedom. The American people are not stupid. One can see that since Barack Obama has taken the presidency, they have only blocked anything that will restore America back to prosperity. It is time that we set aside these stupid ideas, which allow Wall Street to make all the money and Main Street to pay all the bills. You must look at what the Republicans are doing not what they are saying. If one allows the Republican Party to continue this line of reason and actions, they will make American a third world nation. It is my hope that since Norquists pledge is starting to fall apart, that reason and logic will start to take hold. Both sides of the isle have to work together and do the right thing. There is just too much at stake to do otherwise.
