Abstract
The article “General Theory of Creativity” is edited by M.F. Andrew, and based on
Sorokin’s discussion at a symposium held at Syracuse University on creativity and
psychological health in 1961, where the latter discusses the general theory of
creativity, working definition of creativity, creative inequality of individuals and
groups, fluctuation of creative activity, shift of creativity from group to group in
the course of time, specificity of creativity, factors of creativity, the law of the
three stages, integral theory of cognition and creativity, the role of supraconscious
in discoveries and creativity.
