Review and practice the basic CAD commands. Practice essential commands like line types, line weight, scale, unit, layer, block, insert, explode, purge, table , attribute, quick select, view, multiview, break, join, filter, find, pan, list match properties and related commands. Use of command reference in help menu to understand the commands. Understand various settings in tools - options dialog box. Set drawing units as per requirements Create blocks of generally required fixtures in electrical wiring. Use of design centre and templates. Understand model space and layout space.

2. ASSEMBLY DRAWINGS

Understand the meaning of Sectional views- plan, front elevation and end elevation. Draw the sectional end and front views of the following machines a. D.C. machines i) Main pole and field coil assembly ii) Yoke and pole assembly b. A.C. machines i) Stator of three phase alternator ii) Rotor of a salient pole alternator (4 pole only) iii) Rotor of a three phase squirrel cage Induction motor c. PART B 3. WINDING DIAGRAMS Develop the winding diagrams for the following. a. D.C. Armature windings i) 24 conductors, 4 pole Double layer progressive simplex lap winding. ii) 26 conductors 4 pole Double layer progressive simplex wave winding b. A.C. windings i) 3 phase 4 pole 24 conductors full pitch Double layer lap winding. ii) 3 phase 4 pole 24 conductors short pitch Double layer lap winding. 06 06 06 06

PART C 4. ELECTRICAL BUILDING WIRING. Prepare the following drawings as per standard practiced in industries for an Housing complex OR Commercial complex OR Hotel OR Hospital (Any ONE)

NOTE FOR PART C: A moderate project shall be first identified for the above exercises. 2. All the drawings should be done using layers. 3 The drawings shall be chosen in such a manner that they are all related to each other and belong to a single project. standard practice and in line with professional drawings.

Prepare LT Main Panel board General Arrangement diagram as per requirements. 12. Prepare schematic single line diagram of LT distribution as per requirements. 13. Prepare wiring diagram for lighting, UPS and power as per requirements.
