However, before you start writing, lets update your profile on the Cyberkids Portal. 4. Youll also learn to use the messaging function on the Portal. 5. To update profile: a. Log in to Maxis Cyberkids Portal. Click on www.maxis.cyberkids.com.my b. Browse the Maxis Cyberkids Portal. c. Open the MailBox icon. d. Read instructions in the mail. 6. Update your personal profile in My Profile in Maxis Cyberkids Portal (refer to notes in Attachment 1: UPDATE PROFILE)

Understand tools and functions available on Cyberkids Portal.

Learn to create folder, pages, gallery, journal and wiki.

Activity

1. Blogs are much like journals on the Web where users post their thoughts on a regular basis. Entries are dated and listed in chronological order starting with the most recent entry. 2. Before you start to blog, learn how to create folders, pages, gallery and journal on the Cyberkids Portal. (refer to notes in Attachment 3: Portal Create Pages - Folder, Wiki, Gallery & Upload to Gallery) 3. You will then learn to upload pictures to school or personal gallery in Cyberkids Portal. 4. Assignment: a. Think of a topic your group would like to know more on. b. Write it on a piece of paper and pass to trainer. c. Each group will now randomly pick on a topic they are to do research on. d. Share what you have learnt online.

Fun Facts
In Myanmar, the local women wear a yellowish paste on their cheeks and foreheads. The paste, which is made from the ground bark of the thanaka tree, acts as a natural sunscreen and moisturizer.

Learn to use two multimedia tools: o o Photoscape for editing photos. Photostory for creating slideshow presentation.
