Group-10 EXIT- INTERVIEW

Case 1: Exit interview of a candidate, who was a good performer but is leaving the organization because of another job offer.

Scene 1: The panel of interviewers sits together and discuss about the candidate performance and reasons for exit. Scene 2: The Interview begins, and the panel of interviewer asks the following questions: What is your main reason for leaving? What are the other reasons for your leaving? What could have been done early on to prevent the situation developing/provide a basis for you to stay with us? How do you feel about the organization? What has been good/enjoyable/satisfying for you in your time with us? What has been frustrating/difficult/upsetting to you in your time with us? What extra responsibility would you have welcomed that you were not given? How could the organization have enabled you to make fuller use of your capabilities and potential? How well do you think the appraisal system worked for you? What would you say about how you were motivated, and how that could have been improved? How can the organization gather and make better use of the views and experience of its people? Aside from the reason(s) you are leaving, how strongly were you attracted to committing to a long and developing career with us? What can the organization do to retain its best people (and not lose any more like you)? Would you consider working again for us? Are you happy to say where you are going? What particularly is it about them that make you want to join them? What, importantly, are they offering that we are not?

Could you be persuaded to renegotiate/stay/discuss the possibility of staying?

Scene- 3: The employee then leaves the room. The panel members review the answers and have a discussion over it. Case 2: Exit interview of a candidate, who have been asked by the organization to leave the organization, because of his/her poor performance.

Scene 1: The interview begins and the interviewer seems to be unprepared for the interview. Scene 2: The candidates enter the room; they ask him to sit without even responding to his greetings. Scene 3: The Interview begins, and the panel of interviewer asks the following questions: What do you think could be the main reason for asking you to leav the organisation? What are the other reasons you could think of? What you would have been done early on to prevent the situation developing/provide a basis for you to stay with us? How do you feel about the organization? What has been good/enjoyable/satisfying for you in your time with us?

Scene- 4: The employee then leaves the room, and the panel of members without discussing with others fills in the exit interview report form and leaves.
