BAB I

A. Introduction Assalamualaikum Wr, Wb, I want to say thanks to God for the blessing that He gives to me, so I can finish my excursion report. This report is to fulfill the assessment as requirement of graduating the English and Literature Program. The writer realizes that there are many lacks in everything in this report. Thus, the writer hopes any kind suggestion and criticism to make this report better. Last but not least, the writer says sorry if there are some mistakes in writing this report. The result of this report is hoped to give many advantages to writer and the reader B. Research Questions a. What is the curriculum target of this excursion program? b. What place that the writer visited? c. What is the advantage of this excursion program? d. What is the problem that the writer faced in KKL program?

BAB II CONTAIN

A. Curriculum target The objectives of KKL is to fulfill the assessment as requirement of graduating the English and Literature Program.

B. Place There are 4 places that we visited in Jakarta in this excursion program. There are PT.ANGKASA PURA II, Dunia Fantasi Ancol, America Embassy and TVRI.

1. PT.ANGKASA PURA II. PT. ANGKASA PURA II is a company that manages the services of airport and the air traffic. PT. ANGKASA PURA II was building on 13th august 1984. In PT. ANGKASA PURA II we got much information about Sukarno-Hatta International Airport. There, we attended seminary. The seminary discussed about the history of PT.ANGKASA PURA II, vision and mission of PT.ANGKASA PURA II, the responsibility and many others. From this seminary we knew that PT. ANGKASA PURA II is a big company that serves people in flight. Everything is done sincerely to give pleasure to the costumer. It is looked from the vision and mission 3

of PT. ANGKASA PURA II. The vision of PT. ANGKASA PURA II is To be an international-class airport management company with high competitiveness regionally, and the mission is Managing airport services and air traffic services with a priority to flight safety and customer satisfaction, in the effort of creating optimum benefit for shareholders, business partners, employees, the community, and the environment, by firmly holding to business ethics. Beside vision and mission PT. ANGKASA PURA II also take social-responsibility to citizen around the airport and the environment. After the seminary in PT. ANGKASA

PURA II office, we went to the airport. We visited Terminal 2 which is the international airport. From the office of PT. ANGKASA PURA II until we arrived in terminal 2 Soekarno-Hatta airport we were companied by 2 guide from PT. ANGKASA PURA II. Our guides are pretty woman. One of the guides informed about the office around us during the trip to terminal 2. Finally we arrived in terminal 2. We were separated become 2 group. Before we enter the entrance of boarding room our guide told us about the regular registration if you want to go to foreign country. That was very useful for us. Before we visited PT.ANGKASA PURA II we didnt know how the rules to go to another country using airplane. Maybe that was the goal of visited PT.ANGKASA II. The goal is to get information about airport and how are the rules if we go aboard using airplane.

2. Dunia Fantasi (Fantasy World) Second destination was Fantasy World or we always called it Dufan Ancol. Dufan is such kind of amusement park. You could find many game there, from children game till adult game, from fun game till scary game is in there. We arrived there at 13.00 and have a lunch first. Because we arrived the office of PT. ANGKASA PURA II first, we wore formal cloth so we changed our cloth into casual cloth after we arrived in Dufan. We have fun in Dufan until 18.00. After that we go back to PHI in Bekasi.

3. America Embassy Another destination was America embassy. Like the destination before, in America embassy we attended seminary to. In that seminary we knew that America is very concern about education. They give many scholarships to many school and university in Indonesia. Additional information that we knew was the children program on TRANS7,Jalan Sesama. Jalan Sesama is sponsored by America embassy. I thought that Jalan Sesama is sponsored by Indonesia government. But Im wrong. I was surprise that Jalan Sesama was sponsored by America embassy.

4. TVRI The last trip was TVRI. TVRI is a nation TV station in Indonesia. In my opinion, TVRI as a national television of Indonesian is so sadden. Maybe because the building interior is bad, still old fashion. Then the property. They have unsophisticated property. When we had a seminary there, the microphone is so bad and so old. One of my friends asks to the 5

presenter about the operational cost of TVRI. The operational cost of TVRI station is funded by government and its not enough to the operational cost. Maybe thats the reason why TVRI is not good as another television station. But its not a big problem to us to study there. Again, I got precious information in this trip.

C. The Advantages We have passed KKL this semester. It held in Jakarta this year. The advantages that I got from this KKL are : 7

1. Knowledge As you know KKL is study outside the class. So every single place that we visit is containing knowledge. The knowledge that cant be find in the class. 2. Information Information can be reach from many sources. In this era information look for us not we look for information. So, you can imagine that much information we can get. So do in this case. I got precious information about anything in this trip. Much useful information. 3. Relationship In this trip we were together. Everywhere we go was always together. So the relationship among the student and the lecturer were getting closer each day. So do with the driver and our travel leader. They were so nice and friendly. 4. Fun What kind of word in this world that can express your feeling about this trip? I think it is fun and super fun. Why we were so fun? Because we were together and always together in this trip. We were friend, we were brother and sister and we were having fun together.

D. The Problem during Trip The problems that we faced in this trip are: 1. Traffic jam. 8

Jakarta is a crowded city in Indonesia. Everything that everyone dreams about is in there. So, you can imagine if everybody around Indonesia come to Jakarta. It surely crowded. So do with the traffic. There is traffic jam everywhere every time. It makes everyone fed up. So, to avoid the slowness we have to reschedule our plan earlier than before.

2. Time management Everyone knows that Indonesia people are always late. If we have an appointment with somebody on 1 oclock he/she maybe come late. This is happen when I was in Jakarta doing this KKL. The schedule was not on time. There are some plan delays because of bad time management.

3. The route Jakarta is a big city. If we dont know the route we can lost. Thats happen with us when we went to Dufan and America embassy. The tour leader does not know the route of the place. So we waste time on the road.

A. Conclusion We visited many places in Jakarta such as PT.ANGKASA PURA II, Dunia Fantasi Ancol (Fantasy World), Dutch Embassy, America Embassy and TVRI. The writer got much knowledge from every place that she visited. First knowledge was from PT. ANGKASA PURA II. PT. 9

ANGKASA PURA gave us much information about airport. Second was Dutch embassy and America embassy that gave us any information about Dutch and America. Third was TVRI that gave us information about broadcasting. This trip was very enjoyable and informative. There are some advantages that we have from this trip but there are some problems to. The advantages that we had are knowledge and information. The problem that we faced is traffic jam, time management and the route.
