Z. Sardar is a Visiting Professor at City University London and is Editor of the forecasting and planning journal, Futures. He is also a member of the UK Commission on Equality and Human Rights. His journalism appears most often in The Guardian and The Observer. He has written or edited 45 books over a period of 30 years, like Islamic Futures.

Workshop Scope
This workshop aims to consider the development of financial activities in an ethical perspective and problematic of corporate governance. The conference focused on opportunities within sustainable and ethical finance arenas considering, in particular, Islamic finance as a sub-sector of ethical finance. Topics for this conference include, but are not limited to: Ethic and Finance, Islamic Finance, Investment for Social Responsibility, Sustainable Banking, Microfinance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Mechanism of Corporate Governance, Fraud and Finance, etc. A proper financial system and governance framework are of fundamental importance in strengthening the performance of economies, in particular those in development and transition.

Important Dates
November 2, 2011: Deadline for paper submission. November 14, 2011: Acceptance or Rejection decision on papers. December 16, 2011: Workshop at IPAG, 184 boulevard Saint-Germain 75006 Paris.

Publication A selection of the best articles will be published in special issues of international journals: Futures (CNRS/AERES Ranking), Banks, Markets and Investors (CNRS/AERES Ranking), Frontiers in Finance & Economics (AERES Ranking), Journal of Financial Management and Analysis (AERES Ranking), Finance & Biens Communs.
