The Leprous Hand

God told Moses to go down to Egypt and show some signs to the people because he wanted Pharaoh to give them freedom to worship him. Characters: 3 puppets or narrators N1: Hey! Did you hear about the magician at our Vacation Bible School this past year? N2: Theres no such thing as magic! N1: Yes, there is. He took a chicken and threw it up in the air and it fell down and disappeared. N2: That was make believe. He knew a trick to do that! N1: No, really! He then put the chicken in a box and it talked to it from the box, I heard it with my own voice. It said. Let me out of here, or youll be sorry. N2: What is a chicken going to do to make the magician sorry? N1: I dont know. N2: Will you have him again next year? I think Id like to see that stuff.

N3: Hello there! Are you two having some deep conversation? N2: Nothing just some weird stories about some magician. N3: Did you ever hear about the leprous hand? N1: You mean a hand that was spotted white like our heifers on the farm? N3: God told Moses to go down to Egypt and show some signs to the people because he wanted Pharaoh to give them freedom to worship him. N1: You mean more magic? N2: What did Moses say? N3: He said, What if they do not believe me or listen to me. God told him to put his hand in his cloak and when Moses did this it turned leprous pale and scaly. N1: Yuck! N2: Did he leave it that way? N3: No, God told him to put it back into his cloak and it was restored like the rest of his flesh. N1: Can I learn that trick? N3: God gave it to Moses to show His power. If the people would not believe these signs that Moses gave them, then Moses was suppose to pour water in the Nile River. N1: What would that do? N3: The water would turn to blood.

N2: Cool! Id like to know more about this magic. What bookstore sells these tricks? N3: The Bible is the only book that I know of that tells about these stories. Moses was not seeking to learn magic, because he told God that he was not an eloquent speaker and that he was slow of speech and tongue. He did not want to do it. N2: You mean God made him? N3: God used Him. God does not make us do anything. It is up to us if we want to please and obey Him. God told Moses that He would help him speak and teach him what to say. N2; I hope God asks me to do that; it would be cool. My friends would all be impressed if I could turn my hand white and than back to tan. N3: God does not give us a task to do to show off, but to glorify Him. God wanted Moses to use his staff to do these signs. N2: So Moses was going to go back to the same place where people did not like him? N3: Well, it was not as easy as that. God had told him that all the men in Egypt who wanted to kill him were dead. He first went to Jethro and asked if he could go back to Egypt. N1: He had to have his father-in-laws permission? N2: I have to get permission to go to the bathroom at school every day. Sometimes, the teacher even tells me, No. N3: It is good to work with others when we are working for the Lord. They can support us in what we do with prayer and encouraging words. When Moses had left Egypt for Midian, he took his wife and sons with him. The Lord told Moses that Aaron would meet him in the dessert. Aaron was going to help Moses with this task. N2: My brother helps me do my homework when I cannot figure out the problems sometimes. He is really good with numbers.

N3: Moses and Aaron went before the elders of Israel and told them what the Lord had said to Moses. Moses performed the signs in front of them and the people believed Moses. The people learned that day that God saw their misery and was concerned about them. They bowed down and worshiped God. He is great! N1: That is all? When does Moses meet with Pharaoh?
