APALACHICOLA -- The Board of Directors of George E. Weems Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce they have selected Davie Lloyd to be the next Chief Executive Ofcer of the hospital. Ms. Lloyd has accepted the offer of the Board and will be on site to begin her employment July 25th. The Board of Directors is pleased to have found an administrator who we believe will successfully navigate our staff and community through the process of continuing to improve our services, our quality of care and guide us through the steps to bring a new hospital online in the near future, said Paul Marxsen, CPA, Governing Board Chair. Ms. Lloyd takes over from Chuck Colvert who recently resigned so that he could return to his family in Alabama. There will a be period of time between Mr. Colverts departure and Ms. Lloyds arrival where the hospital will have an interim administrator. Geri Forbes, Administrator, Regional Development for Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, will provide additional support and direction during this period. Ms. Forbes recently lled the same role as interim administrator at Doctors Hospital in Perry, Florida. Chuck Colvert will be remembered for stepping into his role during a period of great uncertainty over the future of Weems Hospital, said Marxsen. His ability to keep Weems Hospital moving forward, and open our new Weems East Urgent Care Clinic, is a testament to his skill as an administrator. The Board sincerely appreciates his stewardship of Weems Hospital and we wish Chuck the best in the future. Davie Lloyd comes to Weems from her time as an administrator with Quorum Health Resources headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee. Her last position with Quorum was with Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, Kentucky a 52-bed not-forprot county hospital . During her tenure there Ms. Lloyd helped plan and develop an 8,000 square foot medical ofce building and was very active in recruiting new physicians to the hospital

which in turn improved access to care for patients and increased revenue for the hospital. Ms. Lloyd also understands the importance of teamwork. She developed and implemented a staff recognition program, leadership development program and a volunteer program. Patient satisfaction scores at the hospital increased signicantly. During the interview process we were impressed by not only her work in rural hospitals, but by her communication skills, especially as she discussed her vision for her family, her career and the positive inuence she could have on Weems Hospital, said Mark OByant, Tallahassee Memorial President & CEO. Ms. Lloyd will be employed by TMH and will report to the George E. Weems Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and Mr. OBryant.
