The selection process, crafted in a manner to test an individuals ability to think smart and think fast consists of a written test followed by rigorous interviews by distinguished faculty. Through this process the institute handpicks the rain-makers of tomorrow.

Case Study:

The case study method is the main part of pedagogy used for academic programs at MFMRI. Case discussions are supplemented by group discussions ,seminars plus management games, quizzes ,industrial visits and group works. Students are encouraged to solve real life cases to apply theoretical knowledge to real life business problems which helps them improve their problem solving skills and decision making capabilities.

Personality Development is given a special emphasis at FMS and students are groomed according to the industrial needs. Prior to summer placements , a PDP is organized in order to acquaint the new batch with rigorous summer placement procedure of the companies.

The students are put through several grinding and intellectually stimulating sessions of group discussions and personal interviews. These sessions along with workshops conducted subsequently , not only polish their skills but also familiarize them with what companies look for in a summer trainee. 15.

The Group Activities:

Group activities also form the integral part of the part of the pedagogy. Group activities include group cases , group projects and group discussions . Students are assigned several group tasks and assignments to foster team working skills . The groups are formed in a manner such that students get to work with people with different educational, professional and cultural backgrounds. Students are encouraged to take up live industrial projects in groups as a part of their learning process. Some of the companies for which projects were undertaken the companies for which projects were undertaken this year by the students were: Reliance Life Insurance, AEGON Religare, Star Union Dai-ichi & others.

MFMRI's curriculum lays emphasis on participatory learning - combining lectures, case studies, projects, games and outdoor sessions for overall development of students.
