Over many years MFMRI Course has developed its own identity. Interactive sessions which promote dialogue between industry stalwarts and students are a part of MFMRI culture. In addition to constant Guest Lectures that impart industry knowledge to the students, the annual convention and other conclaves provide an interface between the stalwarts of the corporate world, the academicians and MFMRI students. The hall mark of this identity is, not to walk on the beaten path but to strike new routes; not to benchmark but to be benchmarked against, to be second to none but to be the fi rst to respond to the needs of the people and the nation, by taking up the tasks which are bold but necessary which nobody has hitherto taken up. This enterprising and pioneering spirit can be witnessed throughout the history of Faculty Of Commerce & Banaras Hindu university.

It takes scaling the ocean to fi nd a pearl. And that is the intention behind conceptualizing PET Post Graduate Entrance Test Conducted by BHU for Admission to the PG/Master Degree Courses, One of Indias most competitive Entrance Tests. The selection process, crafted in a manner to test an individuals ability to think smart and think fast consists of a written test followed by rigorous interviews by distinguished faculty. Through this process the institute handpicks the rain-makers of tomorrow.

Case Study:
The case study method is the main part of pedagogy used for academic programs at MFMRI. Case discussions are supplemented by group discussions ,seminars plus management games, quizzes ,industrial visits and group works. Students are encouraged to solve real life cases to apply theoretical knowledge to real life business problems which helps them improve their problem solving skills and decision making capabilities.
The students are put through several grinding and intellectually stimulating sessions of group discussions and personal interviews. These sessions along with workshops conducted subsequently , not only polish their skills but also familiarize them with what companies look for in a summer trainee. 15.
Group activities also form the integral part of the part of the pedagogy. Group activities include group cases , group projects and group discussions . Students are assigned several group tasks and assignments to foster team working skills . The groups are formed in a manner such that students get to work with people with different educational, professional and cultural backgrounds. Students are encouraged to take up live industrial projects in groups as a part of their learning process. Some of the companies for which projects were undertaken the companies for which projects were undertaken this year by the students were: Reliance Life Insurance, AEGON Religare, Star Union Dai-ichi & others.
Mentorship programme
MFMRI has developed a unique system wherein the institute alumni act as mentors to the future business leaders. Groups of students are attached to select Alumni and the alumnus acts as a mentor to his group. He/she offers assistance, support and guidance to them, facilitating the realization of their career objectives.
Industry Interaction
Throughout the year the students organize and participate in various face-to face interactions with leading industry professionals through seminars and guest lectures that prove to be regular 'reality checks' for the students.

Student Societies
Many firms participate in the student learning process by establishing a relationship with one or more of our student societies. This type of contact helps your firm create visibility on-campus and offers you a unique opportunity for interacting with students by organizing or sponsoring case contests, management games, business plan competitions in collusion with the various societies and Corporate Relations and Placement Cell.
Guest Lectures
Senior Executives of your firm can come down and talk to the students about both management theory and practice. The guest talks can be arranged in collusion with either one of the students' societies or the Corporate Relations and Placement cell.
Convention
The biggest industry -student initiative undertaken by FMS each year that sees participation from industry stalwarts. It is an event keenly awaited by students, academicians and the industry. Your firm could be a part of the Convention by either addressing the august gathering through a senior executive or by sponsoring the event.
