GENERAL GUIDELINES
The application form requires to be submitted ONLINE through the Kashmir University Websites: www.kashmiruniversity.net & www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in against Rs.450 [per-form] payable through pay-in-slip against the J&K Finacle Bank Account No:
0007010100002714. A copy of the ONLINE submitted application form, complete in all respects, and including a copy of the pay-in-slip, should be submitted at the following (A) Information Centres along with following (B) documents within 5 days from the date of submission of ONLINE application form/s:

The admit cards & Roll No. slips can be downloaded on the submission of the Application Forms including the pay-in-slip. A desirous candidate can apply for more than one Programme/Course against Rs. 450 per-course. The eligible candidates are required to opt for admission in the Colleges falling within their own District/Geographical zone only. While filling the application form/s, they need to indicate the choice & name of the Govt./Non-Govt. College/institution. As a special case, the eligible candidates from Ladakh division can apply for B.Sc-IT Programme in the S.P. College, Srinagar.

The selectees failing to join the allotted college/s by or before the last fixed date shall forfeit the right to admission, and the resultant vacancies shall be allotted to the candidates next in the waiting list. The allotment of the college to the selected candidates shall be made as per rules. However, they cant claim admission in a particular College/s as a matter of right. The admission of the eligible candidates shall be purely on the basis of the marks/credits obtained in the Entrance Test, which shall be held somewhere in the month of February, and for which a separate notification along with the names of examination centres shall be notified in due course of time. The candidates having top merit in the Entrance Test shall have a prior claim to admission in the Govt. Degree Colleges of their respective Districts /Geographical Zone unless otherwise they desire the same in Pvt. College/s. A set of model question papers , per-course, is given at the end of the given ONLINE PROSPECTUS. Each question shall be followed by objective- type multiple choice answer/s. While filling the Response Sheet, the candidate shall mark the Response Sheet with a Blue Black ball pen only. No Response Sheet with mutilations or corrections shall be processed for calculating points scored by such candidates in the Test. While the time duration for 60 questions shall be 70 minutes only, there shall be no negative marking in the Test. The Entrance Test once conducted shall be last and final for the particular academic session. The Candidates in their own interest must report at the Entrance Test centres at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the Test. They should occupy the allotted seat at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination, and display their admit cards for entry into the examination centres. The Candidates should carry no textual material printed or written, bits of paper or any other gadget like mobile phone, clerk table, electronic watch with facilities of calculators, laptop computer, personal stereo system, walkietalkie sets, paging devices or any other object/electronic device inside the hall. No. Candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination hall 15 minutes after the commencement of the Test. No Candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall, under any circumstances, till the completion of the examination.

No candidate shall leave the examination hall without handing over the Response Sheet to the concerned invigilator/s. Before doing so, they should re-check writing their Roll Numbers and all other particulars on the Question Booklets and the Response/Answer Sheets. The fee structure reflected in the following pages of the ONLINE Prospectus is subject to revision as per the official notifications issued /to be issued by the University from time to time. Such Notifications shall be supreme for all practical purpose. The Question Booklets bear a paper seal which shall not be opened unless directed to do so by the invigilators.

The admissions to BBA/BCA/B.Sc. shall be centrally made by the University rather by any concerned college on its own as is stipulated in the statute 4.8 of the statutes of the University of Kashmir: each constituent or affiliated college or any other recognized institution shall observe the Statutes and Regulations prescribed by the University for the admission of students from time to time. The admissions shall be made through an Admission Committee headed by the Dean College Development Council. The Committee shall monitor the entire work from the receipt and verification of applications forms and relevant documents till the conduct of Entrance Test and preparation and declaration of the selection lists.

Candidates from Kashmir Division, including Ladakh, having passed class 12th (Higher Secondary part II) examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects from J&K Board of School Education or any other Board/Institution equivalent thereto, with 50% in case of Open Merit and 45% in case of reserved category, shall be eligible to apply.

Candidates from Kashmir Division, including Ladakh, having passed class 12th (Higher Secondary Part II) examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects from J&K Board of School Education or any other Board/Institution equivalent thereto, with 45% in case of Open Merit and 40% in case of reserved category, shall be eligible to apply.

MODE OF SELECTION
The selection of the candidates for admission to the programme/s shall be on the candidates performance in the Entrance Test. No candidate shall be considered for admission to the programme/s without taking the Entrance Test for whatsoever reasons thereof. In case two or more candidates secure same marks in the entrance test, their merit shall be determined by their individual scores/merit in their last qualifying examination (i.e.12th class). While finalizing the admission list, the Competent Authority shall take consideration the following: into

Entrance Test
The Entrance Test shall be conducted by the College Development Council, University of Kashmir, only once for the academic session 2011-12 at the test centers in Srinagar or at any other place/s to be notified in due course of time. The Entrance Test shall have the following components:

RESERVATION OF SEATS
The reservation rules of various categories under SRO 126, dated 28.06.1994, issued by the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir, shall be followed for granting admission to the eligible candidates in above courses. Such candidates, besides other documents, must attach a certificate issued under SRO126 with the Application Forms. Under Process certificates shall not be entertained in any case.
